The hot tub. The sauna. They might be the first things that tempt you to stay at Buzzard Holt. But don’t miss the other advantages of this small, dog-friendly glamping site. It’s within walking distance of a pub, merely a mile from the National Trust’s Stowe Gardens, and not much further from the market town of Buckingham. It’s also within easy reach of Bletchley Park, Silverstone race track, and the scenic Ouse Valley Way. So, if you were thinking of booking a single night you might wish to reconsider. Everyone wants to stay longer. And in addition to the handy location, this small glamping site offers a choice of accommodation; all set up for an easy stay.
There’s a modern cabin, a yurt and a shepherd’s hut. The hut is the cutest, sleeping two. It’s a basic set up—essentially a timber-clad bedroom on wheels—but the bed is made for you, towels are provided, there’s electricity, and there's a toasty log burner too. Outside, you have seating, a barbecue, and a fire pit. It’s a short walk to a toilet and shower that’s shared with yurt glampers. They have much of the same (made-up beds, towels and a log burner) but with lots more space and Mongolian style. The yurt sleeps up to four. Meanwhile, the cabin is altogether different. It sleeps two and offers more contemporary comfort, with an en-suite bathroom and a bit of kitchen kit. It’s even got a TV.
All of the accommodation is loosely clustered around the hot tub and sauna, so no one has to tip toe far. And the whole place is surrounded by 11 acres of meadow, orchards, woods, and streams that you’re welcome to explore. It's all expertly managed by hosts, James and Rebecca, like to cover all bases. Got a dog? There’s a secure field for runarounds. Too lazy to make breakfast? You can pre-order one to be delivered to your door. Need a map of Stowe Park? They can lend you one. Leave the glampsite, take a left, and it's just 400 meters to a park entrance.
