This is a journey into simple living - not a party venue.1. The Carashack- a re-structured baling trailer with huge viewing window over the meadow, a king size bed, a bunk bed, chest of drawers, chaise longue and outside covered terrace with seating area and table. There is 12v electricity in the Carashack with lighting. This has steep steps leading up to it which require good mobility.
2. The Yurt- hand crafted by Guy and a Norwegian master boat builder who stayed with us 10 years ago. It has a decorative insulated wall lining, double bed, chest of drawers, pouffe seating and coffee table. There are 2 steps up to the yurt which is built onto an insulated raised wooden floor.
3. The Touareg Bell Tent- this is a spacious, full standing height, canvas tent with 4 single futon beds which can be made into double beds as required by guests- let us know your requirements before you arrive. The Touareg has a chest of drawers, ottoman and wide opening doors towards camp and out towards the meadow with fly-net windows. The futon beds can be chairs by day and beds by night to move between living room and bedroom styles.
4. The Flying Elephant- A complete 'one-of' vintage caravan recently lovingly brought back to life. The Flying Elephant was built by an ex WW2 bomber builder in the 1950's for his fishing trips. She is 80 years old! Many of the fittings and the wheels are old Austin car parts. There is a full size single bed and a small (4ft) double bed- she sleeps 3 in total. It's 2 steps up to get in the door.
5. The Triple C (Corky Cheltenham Caravan) is creatively refurbished with many original features of this classic 1960's vintage caravan. She has 2 small single beds with plenty of drawers and cupboards to store your belongings and 12v lighting. There are 2 steps to get in the door. The tranquil swimming pond, fed by the source of the river Brue, is a very short walk away. The pond is available for 2 days of your stay at pre-organised times.
