Dryland grass ranch, with approximately 30 cow-calf pairs grazing it. Wonderful area for star-gazing, and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Our personal home is 1/4 mile away, across the pastures to the south...look for the copper-capped gate posts. If you see us working in the yard, stop by and say "hi"! Beautiful

Peaceful, quiet and private spot. Hosts Wayne and Jan are what you hope a Hipcamp experience includes. Cute hardscape patio next to a level gravel pad. The only thing you will hear are the Meadowlarks. Beautiful vistas for 360 degrees. If you are lucky, you may even get some of Jan’s cookies. Would camp here again!

Lovely!

we woke up to cows and mountains in our own secluded piece of paradise. it was so beautiful and peaceful. Wayne and Jan left fresh baked cookies in the mailbox for our arrival and stopped by to say hi the next morning which was a nice touch. given the opportunity, would do this again in a heartbeat!

We stayed in this fabulous place for 2 nights while touring Durango. If you are looking for privacy and quiet, this is the place! No one around, no neighbors at all, generator friendly, spectacular views and we didn't use any window covers. If you are looking for privacy, this is the place! Wayne & Jan are so nice and were great hosts. We would definitely go back! Love, love, loved it!

A Restful Night
Group trip
One of the best camps I’ve stayed at on our 23 day road trip. The sweetest hostess! An extremely private spot—we were the only ones there! The stars were amazing. Even a surprise in the little mailbox for us. It was a little confusing to find in the dark, so get there early. My GPS did great finding it and the gate is green and said Hipcamp. Easy. Our campervan did great in the field there under the stars. Nothin’ fancy, but we were grateful for the spot sandwiched between Durango train station and Mesa Verde. Definitely stay there!

Peaceful
What a perfect spot! Hands down most peaceful place we’ve ever stayed. Always looking for one site only campsites for privacy purposes and this was Incredible. Beautiful ranch land with star gazing all night long. Easy to find and only 30 mins from Durango. Our hosts were so kind to open the gate for us as we arrived after dark. I highly recommend 👏
