Loaf N’ Jug, Sinclair, Circle K * 24 hour ice station near Ace HardwareHaven Hill is natural, peaceful and remote. It is a mix of some trees and lots of open space with wild grasses and wildflowers.  You'll be situated high above the scenic Greenhorn Valley. Taking in 360 degree views that include the Spanish Peaks, Greenhorn Mountain and the tips of Mount Blanca and Mount Lindsey. The stars at night are often breathtaking. You'll feel like you're on your own island in the sky. The nearest visible homes are over a quarter mile away. Cell service and satellite service are good here. You’re likely see deer, fox, birds, and birds of prey. You may see wild turkeys, roadrunners, and rabbits. Bear, mountain lion and marmot are rarely ever seen. But have been seen on the property. This is Colorado!  If you like wildflowers and rocks there’s plenty to look at. There is an area off the trail near the pond where there are piles of material that contain fossils. 100 million year old clam like fossils are common here. Please share photos of any finds and leave them on site for others to enjoy too. We have a small cabin on the property over 500’ from the nearest camp sites. We are on the property a couple times a week working on property improvements or just enjoying the views. Fires might be allowed. Confirm with the Pueblo County Fire Department web site. If fires are allowed, they must be in existing campfire circles ONLY! Firewood can be purchased in Colorado City. Standing dead wood may be burned as well. No wood removal please.  Conveniently located minutes from Lake Beckwith, lake Isabel, and Bishops Castle. Greenhorn Mountain rises to an elevation of 12,347 feet. Nearby you’ll find restaurants, Ace Hardware, shopping, laundromat, a rest stop, a disc golf course, a golf course, gas, convenience stores and a water fill-up station. Elevation is 6500 feet. It can get hot in the day and cool at night. And sometimes windy. With lot's of sunshine! Always be bear and lion aware. Hiking with a bell is recommended. Use of firearms is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed. All of Colorado is serious wild fire country. Please be overly cautious. Quiet time is after 10:00 p.m. Please respect our neighbors. We can accommodate larger groups. Not easy to find but worth it
The view was great, the site was set up and easy to see where were the boundaries, very private. Lots of wind in the afternoon but settled down after sundown. The road up is fairly steep. I would advise going back down the same way you go up. Walk the backside before you drive it. The address was not easy to locate. Maybe a mileage marker would help?

Awesome hill!
Great views of the surrounding landscapes from atop the hill. Expect it to be windy. 30 min from pueblo proper. 1.5 hours away from great sand dunes park. Night sky was 8 out of 10. A few great eateries up the rd. Get your fire wood from circle k at exit. Way cheaper than ace! Totally enjoyed this location and will be sure to return in the future.

Haven Hill
I stopped here for a night on the way to Denver because a private property sounded so much nicer than public site, especially for a lone traveler like myself. So glad I did! Unfortunately I got there after the sun had set, but the sunrise was absolutely gorgeous! Waking up to that view made me the happiest person. The panoramic views are amazing, you can see all around, but there’s still plenty of privacy so you can enjoy comfort and peace while you’re camping. I would definitely stay here again, given then chance.

I’ve stayed here before and will stay here again. It’s a quiet, private piece of heaven. The stars are so bright at night. It’s a perfect spot for the doggos with lots of good smells and it’s safe to explore. The sites are clean and level with a picnic table and fire pit. It can get windy, but if you chose your spot well, you can use trees as a wind break. Thanks for another relaxing stay!
