Excellent Stay at Squirrel Rock
We had a great experience which started with the prompt and clear communications with Julie. She then greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had all the information we needed to get setup and also to enjoy the sites in the area. The site worked out great especially given that it was a rainy few days but no mud! The drive in and the site have small gravel so made for mud free camping which we really appreciated. Julie has thought of everything and has put together a comfortable and enjoyable site. We give Squirrel Rock two thumbs up!

Fantastic site and location!
We spent two nights here and it was great. Julie greeted us with pamphlets about the site, and local information. The site is behind a gate, very private, cute, and well designed. No issues getting in or out with our 34 ft 5th wheel. Walking distance to Columbia State Historic Park, and very short drive to downtown Sonora. Will definitely go back for more relaxation in the near future.

This is such a special, private spot! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back. It's not often you can have a nice, private place all to yourself and yet still have water, electricity, and wifi! The campground is in a beautiful, wooded, tucked-away spot on the property that is well maintained and safe. We got the treat of seeing a family of deer the first night. Julie is an amazing host, who greeted us when we got there and provided us with a ton of great recommendations to see, eat, and do during our visit. If you're looking to visit this area, do not hesitate to book this campground!!
