20 acres hosted by Tony H.
3 tent pitches
We are a working hobby farm with livestock, crops and an orchard. Expect a free-range chicken or two and maybe a wake-up call from our rooster. The site also has a picnic area and some kids play equipment including climbing frame and sea-saw.
You can choose between flat and sloped camping areas. Once settled the site is 20+ acres before backing on to crown land. Excellent hiking (uphill!) right from your tent. This rural site has no 'local' amenities, but the vineyard and cider makers is nearby. Down the road in Westsyde there is the pool, shops and pubs. Miles of hiking and biking. 1-2 km to Jamieson Creek FSR and off-roading.Imagine camping on a flat space with a wide view of the North Thompson River. Or maybe you prefer gently sloping sites in the woods. Either way once pitched you can take a walk round the farm to find our family friendly petting zoo, picnic area and play equipment. Familiarise yourself with the site layout and toilet facilities before settling down in front of a campfire.
Wake early the next morning when the cock crows and hike, bike or just lounge the day away. If he's around, ask farmer Tony for a guided tour and meet the animals. Then take a drive south to the winery to relax or north to the ferry (in season) to explore the region.
