Learn more about this land: 34 miles South of the Grand Canyon South Rim Entrance, And 5 miles off the main highway. Secluded, quiet and Nestled in the trees. Perfect for stargazing, You’ll never see the Milky Way the same. Let nature speak to you through the voices of the Coyotes, the bugles of the elk and the songs of the birds. Road to Off The Beaten Path: It’s definitely an adventure and with possible sightings of Antelope, Elk, Coyotes, Bob Cats and a few of mother nature’s other critters. The dirt road can be driven on by nearly all passenger vehicles including RV’s. However, the road is bumpy and has a few ruts from last winter snow, we recommend a standard size sedan with moderate clearance. Though, during monsoon season (June-September) and after a heavy snowfall, the best vehicles are an all wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle. During your stay: We will always respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy Off The Beaten Path in peace. Great choice for those of us who prefer no frills (however there is cell reception - a frill I do like haha) Road in was definitely bumpy; I was fine in my Sportage as long as I was careful, but a sedan might not fare so well. Easy to find, including number posts designating sites. Enough trees that you don’t feel like you’re on the plains/ out in the open. There is a road nearby, but again, enough trees and bushes that your entire camp isn’t exposed. Maybe 5 cars went by on my one night stay. Host was super nice, easy to reach, and helpful. Definitely needed and used my bug spray. Overall, would stay again :)

Host was amazing with information and was quick to answer all questions. We were concerned about getting the RV through the road to get to the site, just because of the entrance. We were towing a Jeep, so disconnected it and took it up to the entrance. It was quite a rough road for the Jeep, so we made the decision to stay by the entrance instead. We cannot comment on the site, but we're definitely appreciative of the attentiveness of the hosts.

All good. :)
DaNene was exceptionally responsive and communicative. I was on a pretty unpredictable road trip and didn't actually end up staying at this location (all on me and my trip chaos- not her at all) , but Id book with her again in a heartbeat. Again- super attentive and helpful. 5* 🙂

We really enjoyed our stay! The site was clean and well maintained. We had neighbors at the other sites, but the layout and trees made it still feel very private. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. *Vehicle Note* We drove our compact sedan to the site, and it was probably nearing the limits of what a car like that can handle, but definitely not the roughest road I’ve driven on. Because of our small car, the 4 mile drive off Hwy 64 to the site took us around 25 minutes. I would recommend you have a more off-road capable vehicle during your stay, if you have the option.
