Our glamping tent is conveniently located about 1 hour from the Grand Canyon Skywalk, with easy access to local restaurants, charming towns, lakes and gas stations.
16 Mile Paradise is in the middle of the desert surrounded with breathtaking views and a magnificent night sky.
Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed with 2 convertible sofa beds for an additional 2 guests.
Inside the tent, you will also find a wood fired stove. If you plan on using it, please bring your own wood, preferably wood that has not been treated or altered. We do not recommend running the stove through the night for your safety. Lastly, If you are unfamiliar with using a stove, we please ask for you to watch a short how-to tutorial on YouTube.
We allow smoking, however all smoking must be outside.
Inside, you will additionally find a mini generator for your basic needs. It can last for hours on end while being used. If the generator is running low, we also provide a solar panel kit for recharging the generator. Just connect it and leave the solar panels outside (try to keep the generator in the shade).
We offer an amazing outdoor kitchen with a two burner stove to go with it (propane included). We provide the basic cooking utensils such as knifes, silverware, pans, pots, plates and cups and a french press for coffee (accompanied by a coffee pot for the hot water).
We do not have wifi, however, we have AT&T and there is signal for cellular data use.
Our site also offers a private bathroom, with a separate toilet and shower. Our shower is powered by gas and the mini generator that is provided. We also offer hot water, however water is limited so please take as short time showering as you can. For our bathroom, you will be doing your business in a bucket. Once you finish, please do NOT throw your toilet paper inside the bucket, but inside the trash can next to you. Once done, you will throw a handful of natures dirt that we will provide inside of the bathroom to get rid of any smell. We urge all men to pee outside as using the bucket is not the most practical.
We do allow dogs to stay, however, we do have a neighbor about 150 yards away with about 7 dogs, the most friendly dogs we have ever met and very friendly with our personal dogs as well. Please do not be afraid if they approach you as they are the most kind hearted dogs you will ever meet. If your dog is not friendly, we advise you to be more cautious or keep him/her on a leash.
If you are planning to visit during the summer time, please be careful with your surroundings as we have seen rattlesnakes in the area before . Snakes are more scared of you than you are of them but please watch your step. You are in the Arizona desert.
Last but not least, please DO NOT leave any trash anywhere outside to keep our area clean and to keep any animals away.
