All is clear right now, but later in December - possibly into March, a snow vehicle (snowmobile, track vehicle, or bigger 4WD with aired down tires) could be needed - depending on weather/snow conditions. Also running water is turned off in winter months only due to freezing conditions when cabins are unoccupied - check with the owner before booking. There is a beautiful main cabin/lodge for rent, but this listing covers the two separate mini cabins on the property. Each mini cabin has its own solar and lithium, batteries, wood stove, separate bath/shower, and can sleep 4. The site is located in a magical area in the middle of the forest - 4 1/2 miles off Route 180, north of Snowbowl in Arizona. It is perfect for hiking, biking, hunting, and nature watching with the clearest dark skies you’ll find anywhere. Water is turned off in the winter due to freezing temperatures, but the toilets can be flushed with water and RV antifreeze. The wood stove is super warm and there is plenty of firewood available on the property.
