Description
Take it easy at Tailwater, just below the Barren River Dam. Its shoreline location makes this one sweet, serene spot. Being at the foot of a dam means you have access to plenty of water activities on the lake, as well as great views of the forest around you. From owls to otters, animals love this place as much as campers do. Hike around the trails for awhile and you might just get the chance to see a few of the furry and feathered locals.

Quite a treat to harvest a walleye or two right out the door of your campsite. Quiet, serene & scenic.
