Sitting atop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, two-thousand-feet above sea level, Tallulah River Campground is a swiss army knife of camping appeal; you’ll be just at home charmazing a modestly burnt mushroom as you would be hiking the area’s combing trails. And, located near Moccasin Creek State Park, you can expand your camping odyssey further, should you wish! But, like many other campgrounds in the area, Tallulah River Campground is on a FCFS (first-come, first-served basis)—so plan accordingly.

Great campground but the best sites are taken up by the locals and held for their friends and relatives all season long. This campground needs to go on the reservation system to ensure fair access for all.
