Pros: Great location, very close to forks and the beaches, pretty river fairly close within walking, sites are spread out well.
Cons: for the price per night you would think the porta potty would be well kept, couldn't even use it, had too many spiders in it. road isn't well kept luckily we had 4 wheel drive or else couldn't of made it through.

Site 5
We tent camped at site #5, and managed to get a last minute reservation for Labor Day weekend. The campsite is perfect- a decent distance away from the other sites, clean, with a great fire ring and picnic table. Porta potty wasn’t too bad overall- smelly, but that’s to be expected. They provided higher quality toilet paper than I’ve ever had at a porta potty- which was so nice. And hand sanitizer as well!
The site is a close walk to a calm stretch of the Sol Duc River. It was really a great spot.
Would highly recommend 4wd to get to the site- it’s a tight drive that’s more of a jeep trail at times. If the roads were much wetter getting stuck is a real possibility. Overall though this was a perfect camping spot!

Site 4
Private, but muddy and primitive.
I love that the sites are spaced farther apart and effectively private and the host is very responsive online. Having said that, the combination of mud and close-in growing trees makes navigation of the site a problem. While I did manage to get a small travel trailer and my truck in, it was a muddy mess (the site 4 was private but quite muddy, too) by the time we left. It's just a very narrow corridor to get to the site we were at and even the modest traffic that was there (1 other camper and us), the road was tore up and muddy. The mud and very close trees limits navigating a trailer (even a wider truck might be an issue) where you want to and probably limits most people who don't have decent AWD/4WD. It's an awesome place that's close by the Sol Duc but needs logging and mud removal/new gravel. Has a lot of potential but needs some investment before it's worth the price that's being asked.

Peaceful Sol Duc
Super easy to find. Clean and quiet. We were able to get our full sized pickup back to Site 6. It’s a tight fit in the road to get in there, but we did it! The river is beautiful and rejuvenating. We saw fish, otters and more slugs than I can count.

Cool little spot!
Pretty cool place. Definitely plan to get there early enough in the day to enjoy the river. Primitive road/trails into sites, so bring the appropriate vehicle for the terrain.

What a awesome spot! Very private and right by the river. Close to town and Olympic NP
