Our 16 acre private riverfront property is located on the Dungeness River just outside the city of Sequim in Clallam County on the Olympic Peninsula. There are just two very large campsites. Each site can accommodate two RV’s or just a bunch of tents. You will have full access to the parcel allowing you to explore or just hang out at the river. We are pet friendly. Well behaved dogs can be off leash this vacation The nearest towns are Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., and Sequim where you’ll find restaurants, wineries, and more. This land has passed through many families but was first "managed" by Salish Indians who burned the prairie and harvested native plants for food, medicine, clothing, charms and more for 10,000 years. When European settlers arrived in the 1850s, burning the prairie all but ceased and that, along with the introduction of many new exotic species of animals, crop plants and weeds, began the degradation of the landscape. Over time our site was used to graze sheep and then raise pheasants (from 1944-1999). It was slated for housing development but several citizens rose up and prevented that from happening. Now the Pacific Rim Institute, a private nonprofit organization is the steward of this precious jewel of central Whidbey and the Pacific Northwest. We have a five-acre remnant prairie with over 80 species of native plants - critical to the restoration of degraded lands throughout the Salish Sea region. We have over two miles of walking trails for you. They traverse our prairie, savannas and forests. The land is full of color when the native wildflowers bloom from early spring through early autumn. We have a Native Plant Center where we grow up to 50 species of rare native plants. Ask us for a tour.

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested uplands. The farm continues to provide food, fiber, and habitat for future generations. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust worked with Jefferson County and Jefferson LandWorks Collaborative partners to purchase the easement with state Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program Farmland Preservation grant funds, Jefferson County Conservation Futures funds, and community funds. Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane firepits, are done at pay station at Campground or by phone. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground, contact us directly. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. Activities nearby include: Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Welcome to Tranquil Acres. We have transformed our five acres in the “Pearl of the Peninsula” for the world to be your oyster during your stay with us. The Big Quilcene river is a water wonderland with private riverside access available to all campers just a short easy walk from each campsite. Here is where you can enjoy the cooling relief from the Summer heat, bask in the sun on cool Spring days, listen to the soothing sounds of the water and wildlife, interact with fellow campers, as well as fishing for Coho salmon in the Fall for a full meal deal experience. (Fishing license required). The river access “Common Area” is for all campers to enjoy with plenty of space to also have some alone time. If you are a more adventurous camper, Tranquil Acres is perfectly located to be your “home base” for extended stays, allowing you to explore the many wonders that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer as easy day trips. We are happy to answer any questions and share some of our favorite hikes, lakes, restaurants, and historical areas we have loved over these many years. My family has lived in this area since the early 80's and after almost a decade of renting this property and becoming a part of the amazing community of Quilcene, I had the opportunity to buy this land and “pay it forward” by creating Tranquil Acres for all to enjoy. My children that grew up here, continue to help and support this endeavor as adults. “It’s a King Thing”. Camping Etiquette: **Please read before booking** First and foremost, the road leading down to the camping area is a steep gravel drive. Going down isn’t usually a problem…it’s getting back up again. When you get to the bottom, the rest of the roadway leading to all campsites is a natural dirt road with tree root humps that isn’t designed for low clearance cars. AWD or 4WD is recommended, but please check with us before booking to see if your vehicle can have access all the way to your campsite and make it back up the hill. If not, we do have parking available at the top of the hill safely located next to our house, and transport options available to help you pack it in and pack it out without risking damage to your vehicle or the land and still enjoy a wonderful camping experience. Please inquire before booking if you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss your options. Please be respectful of the land. We are a “pack it in, pack it out” campground and wish to provide this space for folks to enjoy for many years to come. The Quilcene transfer station is located nearby and is open on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. (hours may differ on holidays). We do offer waste disposal as an add-on at checkout. Recycling must be separated from solid waste and contained in the bags provided and will have clear instructions of what is recyclable. Potable water is not available in the camping area. It is okay to use water from the river if you have a certified filter system (at your own risk). If you are the bold and brave that likes to bathe in cold waters, please be mindful of the eco-system and the damage that soap can do to our natural habitat. Dishwashing is not allowed in the river at any time. Like most campgrounds, our quiet time is 10pm-8am. Please be respectful to your camp neighbors at all times. Sounds carry easily in the woods. Play, explore, have fun, and stay awake to enjoy your space for as long as you want, just be mindful to use “camping voice” after 10pm. Communication is encouraged and appreciated! If you need anything, are having any issues with fellow campers, or just have a question… please don’t hesitate to get in touch… day or night. We love being able to share this wonderful land for folks to have a joyful camping experience in our neck of the woods with their fellow campers. Dogs are allowed at all campsites. Cats too if you have a camping cat! Please be mindful of your neighbors and that not everyone feels comfortable around dogs or may be allergic. Off leash is allowed if your dog is not aggressive with humans or other dogs. You know your dog best, and we will trust that you will use your best judgement in any circumstance while you are staying with us. If there is an issue in this regard, we will ask you to keep your dog leashed at all times, or under extreme circumstances may be forced to ask you to leave. We would rather not do either of those things, so please be aware of where your pet is at all times. Everyone loves a campfire! No one loves a wildfire. The lushness of the Olympic National Forest can be deceiving. Wildfires do still happen here and we expect you to extinguish your fire if no one is at the campsite, before going to sleep, and prior to departure. Firewood is provided as an add-on at checkout and will be at your site when you arrive, or you are also welcomed to bring your own. You will need to provide your own paper and flame to get your campfire going. There are many small sticks and twigs around every site to use as kindling, but please don’t use any wood you find on the land that won’t entirely fit inside of the rock ring. This is dangerous because wood holds heat and can continue to burn and ignite leaves, sticks and twigs outside of the firepit. If it is windy at any point during your stay, we respectfully request that you don’t have a fire while the winds are blowing. You can see if there is a recreational fire burn ban prior to arrival by visiting www.orcaa.org or send us a message. It is rare that recreational fires are banned in this area, but it does happen on occasion. Burning any kind of garbage in your campfire is not allowed at any time. Doing so means it is no longer a recreational fire and could permanently stop us from allowing campers to stay here. We offer a variety of add-on features that can turn your camping adventure into a glamping experience. Need a tent? No problem, we will even set it up for you and take it down. Don’t have a stove to cook with? We have that too. When we say: “It’s a King Thing”… it means we intend to provide you with an experience that leaves you feeling like Royalty. Thank you for taking the time to consider us for your camping adventures. We are thrilled and grateful to share our Tranquil Acres with you and look forward to seeing you soon! Add-on descriptions (Updated) Essentials: Toilet Available: 2 composting toilets are conveniently located for all campers and cleaned daily. Bring your own TP and please don’t leave the roll in the Shat Shack or Poop Hut when you’re not doin ur bizness. There are instructions posted if you have never used a composting toilet. Pets Allowed: Off Leash You know your dog best. Please be mindful and aware if they are aggressive towards other dogs or humans. Fire Ban in effect: (no) River rock ring firepits available at all sites. You are welcome to bring your own firewood, or add-on at checkout. Lots of sticks and twigs on the ground available for kindling. Bring your own paper and flame to start your fire. Please don’t use wood from the land that doesn’t fully fit inside of the firepit. Amenities: Kitchen Available: Grill over firepit available upon request. Forget to pack a much needed cooking utensil? Please ask and I may have one you can borrow. Picnic Table Available: All sites have a picnic table. No Potable Water: Bring your own bottled water for drinking/cooking, or you can access river water with your own certified filtration system. We do not recommend drinking or cooking with water from the river that has not been filtered, doing so is at your own risk. We are just minutes away from 2 different stores in Quilcene. No Showers: Bathing in the river is allowed if you are brave enough to handle the cold water. Please be mindful of the natural eco-system and use only biodegradable soap minimally. The Big Quilcene river plays an important role in this region supporting wildlife, aquatic life, plant life and human life. No Wifi: But all major phone providers do get service in our campground area. Pack it out: Garbage/recycling is available as an add-on feature, otherwise, please pack it in/pack it out and leave it better than you found it. Laundry Absent: There is a laundromat in Quilcene just a short drive from our campsite. Available offers: Firewood $6.00/bundle Locally sourced firewood with a range of sizes will be waiting at your campsite when you arrive. Bring your own paper and flame, and there are many small sticks and twigs on the ground just waiting to be useful as kindling! (Cash or Venmo is accepted if you need to order more during your stay. We are not allowed to charge your card for additional products/rentals after you book your site.) Tiki torch fluid- citronella based $10.00 A great ambiance for the great outdoors and helps keep pesky insects out of your camp. (Tiki torches are provided at all sites.) Garbage/Recycling $15.00 ** We are offering this option on a trial basis.** Containers will be provided for your garbage and recycling at your site during your stay. Clear instructions will be provided for what is recyclable and what is solid waste. PLEASE adhere to the instructions so we can continue offering this service to future campers. Large tent – sleeps up to 12 - $55.00 We will set it up before you arrive and break it down after you leave. Large two room tent with 2 doors. Broom will be provided, and we just ask that you sweep the floor prior to departure. (This rental is not available for Site 4) Small tent – sleeps 2-3 $25.00 We will set it up before you arrive and break it down after you leave. Broom will be provided, and we just ask that you sweep the floor prior to departure. Cot $10.00 Don’t have an air mattress? Enjoy our high quality cot that also comes with a sleeping pad. Extra Car Fee $10.00 Only 1 car is allowed per site. This helps reduce the wear and tear on the land. There are exceptions to this…so please message me if you have more than one vehicle in your group, or you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss. Extra cars can park safely next to our house at the top of the hill. ACTIVITIES ON THE LAND OR NEARBY BIKING: multiple mountain biking trails for any level of rider. Check www.singletracks.com for information about trails located in Quilcene and nearby areas just a short drive away. FISHING: The salmon start running on the Big Quilcene in September. Fishing license required. There are other options for fishing around the area depending on what you want to fish for, go ahead and message me if you want some insider information. HIKING: There are many hikes close by with a variety of difficulty levels. I have hiked pretty much all of them and would love to share some of my favorites with you. PADDLING: Quilcene Bay, Lake Leland as well as other options just a short drive away. WILDLIFE WATCHING: We have deer that wander through the campground from time to time and in the mid-late summer it is a real treat to see their fawns. There is a fun assortment of birds, owls and even herons and hawks that can be spotted while hanging out at the river in our common area. If you are lucky, you can even spot a bald eagle passing by. Grey whales and Orca whales migrate north in the late Spring and Summer and there are whale watching tours available in Sequim and Port Angeles. There is also the Olympic Game Farm Park in Sequim that is a drive through wildlife preserve that is a lot of fun for the whole family just 45mins away. (Absolutely no hunting is allowed on Tranquil Acres and we respectfully request that you keep your distance from wildlife for the safety of all involved.) NATURAL FEATURES ON OR NEAR THE LAND: BEACH: There are several Bays and Lakes in the area that I would love to tell you about that are easy to access…please don’t hesitate to ask. FOREST: We are located on the eastern side of the Olympic National Forest, and there is a Ranger Station just a couple minutes away. The rainforest eco system of this area is truly an adventure worth exploring, and our Tranquil Acres has all the native trees and plants of this unique region that makes it feel like you are living in the heart of a rainforest…but with less rain, and slightly warmer temperatures than the central and western side of the Olympic rainforest in the summer. LAKES: Lake Leland Lake and Crocker Lake are the nearest most accessible lakes in the area. There are many others, please feel free to ask about any lakes you find in the area and I can let you know if it is suitable for what you are wanting from a lake experience. RIVER, STREAM OR CREEK: Tranquil Acres is located on the Big Quilcene River. It’s beautiful and most of the time secluded (except during salmon season in September when there are fisherfolks that have public access to the river itself). There are many other rivers in the general area, but none quite as awesome as our little stretch of the Big Quilcene. SWIMMING HOLE: Yes, various options at different times of the year…and It’s COLD! Bring a float device for a gentler experience in the hot summer sun or have a bold and brave Polar Plunge regardless of what month it is. (AT YOUR OWN RISK, please be mindful of how strong the river current is at different times of the year and do not let young children into the main current without a life jacket or without adult supervision. Highly recommended to wear water shoes at all times/all ages.) The Big Quilcene is a River that anyone could slip and fall on the rocks regardless of age and how low the water is. WATERFALL: The Falls View loop trail just a few miles south of Quilcene is an easy 1 mile hike that has a spectacular view of the large waterfall that flows into the Big Quilcene River. I am happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about local adventures in the area. MOUNTAINOUS: Mt. Olympus reigns supreme over them all, but the Olympic Mountain Range has 9 other distinct Mountain peaks, and there are a variety of ways to experience this unique mountain range…just ask me how, I am happy to share the variety of ways to enjoy the Olympic Peninsula. FARMS: We have multiple organic farms in the area where you can purchase seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are also many community activities at various times of the year to get to know this little Pearl of the Peninsula.

Christmas Tree Ridge

Current conditions on hill: -Google Maps has recently became very wrong for navigation. "Valley Side Ln" is the WRONG road. Instead, turn off the paved road right turn after the 25MPH road sign). If you blindly follow NAV to the end of instructions, you will then have no service, have to reverse out of Valley Side Lane, and then want to cuss me out an hour later, after you leave the valley to get service to look at the sweet maps I made for this very problem. One shows the campground, one shows the 3 roads and names leading here, highlighted for your pleasure. -DUST, portions of my land are very dusty and under construction as I put up a pole building, I try my best to make noise with due consideration. -Its the Dry season now, also more brown then pictures suggest as the vegetation thins out. -Bees are desperate in august, so your sugary drinks and foods are exciting to them and If you dress and smell like flowers, you will probably have bees. This is my 2nd season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. 2wd car people, you are going to want to read the bottom paragraph. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. It's a 1 mile dirt road with a small climb to get up to the neighborhood. Quick overview of the sites I have right now, select a site for more details. Valley Ridge Lookout is my largest site up at the top of the plot and is where the Outhouse is located. West perch is a small site with water/power perched over on the west lot line. Side Step is a quick and dirty-park-n-go spot. Gully Vista is still being opened, it's a tiny tent/hammock site with a narrow hiking trail to get to it. Check out the map in the photos. So, after watching campers for a year, I have seen most are car camping or tenting. Some folks have the fancy camper vans and I've seen some old school vans and stuff also. If you are rolling in here with a full box size RV, you are very big for this place, just gonna say that now. As for towing trailers, If you wouldn't tow it into a tight parking lot, you are not going to enjoy towing it around here, hell that goes for RV's also. I do my best to filter and set up the campsites to show vehicle types and sizes on this app. A good rig, towing a shorty trailer with a driver that can wheel would do fine. I tow a Ton behind my subaru no problem around here. If your 2wd..and your trailer weighs more than your vehicle....Hard no, look for a flat campground. ____Pros:____ -Borders 150+ arces of state land, 10-20 year old timber land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, maybe a small dirt bike. Very narrow trail for the first 1500feet then opens up to an old quad trail that then joins the howell lake state trail, just cut last year and always fighting the grow back. -We got wood for burning, not dry, not wet, it burns. Maybe want some dry kindling in the wetter seasons. -Trash free soil, never littered, it's virgin dirt. Keep it that way please. Don't bring glass, If you do, don't break it, people walk barefoot here. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is pretty damn nice, Good rope swing. It is a 1 mile hike via that trail link (would rate it as a 4/10 hardness hike), less than 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars -Solar powered campground ____Cons:____ -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of some camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be alert when walking around the east edge or you may find yourself fighting gravity and brush. -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. I promise your car can make it up the hill if you go slow, spinning your tires is why the road is so bad. I do it in a Smart Car and an old 2wd jap truck all the time..... However...... time has shown FWD, specifically FWD cars that have more weight in the rear and not much on the drive axle have shown to suck at driving up these marblelike rock roads. Mini vans loaded to the max are some of the worse. Have everyone in the car move forward can help? Reversing up hills in FWD makes them do much better... Or hell just go flying up the hill at 20mph ripping it up and making a dust storm and you'll make it also like everyone else that can't drive on dirt. Someday my neighbors and I will put some gravel down. If you are rolling in here with a Full 26' F350 size RV you are very Big for this place, just gonna say that now. As for towing trailers, if you wouldn't tow it into a parking garage, you are not going to enjoy towing it around here. A good heavy 4wd, towing a shorty trailer with a Good driver would do fine. If your 2wd..and your trailer weighs more than your vehicle....Hard no, look elsewhere. Towing my 30ft 5th wheel up the community road took a running start due to traction.

West facing and full sun, this property is home to wildlife including bats, owls, coyotes, eagles, osprey, red winged blackbirds and deer.  Bordering a local 2 lane highway, the property has stunning territorial views of Meigs park.   Very private area where you have the run of the bottom portion of our property.  The Hobbit house was built by our family as a 5th grade project for our daughter Rose and her friends.  Now we have converted the cozy living space to glamping, to pay for her college in Worcester Massachusets! “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”-J.R.R. Tolkien You don’t have to go to New Zealand to stay in a hobbit house! Hand-built by our family, this cozy in-hill cabin located in the lower area of our property is something right out of a Tolkien novel. Very LGBTQ+ And BIPOC friendly. This one room Hobbit Hole has everything in it's  7.5x15.5' (cozy): Comfy convertible bed/couch complete with linens, a small table with 2 chairs for playing games and eating, puzzles, games, snacks, hot water kettle, coffee maker, bluetooth speaker, electric fireplace, books, sketchpad with colored pencils, and more!  A rustic wooden floor (with some paint splatters) and a braided rug give you a feeling of comfort and home.  On site we have a private portable bathroom complete with hand-washing station, and an outside combination fire pit and charcoal barbecue with a grill top and  s’mores sticks provided so you can cook over a wood fire or coals!  And an outdoor table and chairs that are super comfortable! The house itself is heated, insulated, and has working electricity/outlets for computer or phone charger.  Clean bedding and pillows provided, washed in fragrance-free detergent between each guest.  We provide a full water jug with spigot, hot water kettle, teapot, assorted teas, an empty growler to use, 2 pint glasses and 2 mugs.   Private area of the yard with plenty of room to relax.  We have a disc golf goal and discs to use as well. Firewood is available for purchase onsite for $10/milk crate full. This comes with a kindling kit. Territorial views of the tree line and sunset views to die for! We are located near Meigs Park as well as a 10-minute walk from Manitou beach and an easy bike ride to the ferry that goes to Seattle!  2 miles from the Grand Forest and 3 miles from Battle Point park.  We are exactly 3 miles from the ferry terminal in a convenient mid-island location. NEED TO KNOW (managing expectations):A note on the bathroom: the hobbit hole is small and will not fit a bathroom or plumbing. Your nearby private portable restroom is cleaned thoroughly between each guest and serviced (pumped out) weekly.  We consider our listing to be “glamping”. Also our property borders a local 2 lane highway and you can expect road noise mostly during the day and evening.  While it is a private setting you can expect to hear the road.   Weekends and evenings it is quieter, and when the door is closed it is quiet.   The Hobbit House is suitable for 2 guests or 2 adults and a small child that can share the bed.  The bed is a queen size, and we can't allow sleeping on the floor as the door opens inwards and is a safety concern.   However, additional guests are welcome to bring a tent and camp outside, for $20/tent, up to 6 additional guests or 2 tents, whichever is smaller.  Let me know when you are booking that you'd like to bring additional guests and we will adjust the costs accordingly.  WANT TO SEE MORE? Olympic Adventure Campground is available to Both RV's & Tent Dry Camping. The Camp Address is: 192602 US-101, Forks, WA 98331, USA. Our Camp is situated on a little more than 5 acres out of our 18 acres of Dense Enormous Evergreen Forest in the Olympic temperate rain forest region. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and semi-privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp. Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only about Half a Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193. This means you are very close. Our camp will be on the left. Our Sites were planned out and spaced to offer our guests plenty of "Elbow Room". Whether your travel plans are for using a Tent, parking an RV, or a Rustic Cabin stay, we can help you with that. Each site has its own Details and Pricing for Booking your Reservations. Please check-in at the main office building after 1pm. Check out time is 11 am. During the Summer Vacation Season of May through Labor Day: Our Gift Shop/Office business hours are: Daily between the hours of: 7am - 7pm. During this schedule our guests may call us for checking in up to 9pm. During the Fall through Spring Season of (After Labor Day) in September through April: Gift Shop/Office business hours are between the hours of: 8am to 6pm Monday-Friday. Saturday & Sunday the hours are Intermittent. Therefore we kindly ask our guests to call or send us a text message for access to the store; for assistance; questions or to check in. Guests may call us up to 8pm. If a guest decides that they are dissatisfied with their original choice of camping space, they can make a request to change it (depending on availability), through the booking platform that we use called Hipcamp. But do keep in mind that there will be a fee applied for making a modification online on a current reservation. Otherwise let us know how we may help you during your stay. We very kindly ask our guests to be positive and adaptable if ever they encounter a booking issue at our camp. Surprisingly it does happen sometimes with the online booking websites. We experienced this problem over our busiest summer season in 2023. So this is why it can be stressful on both our guests and our hosts. We simply ask our guests to express grace and patience toward us as we work very hard to accommodate you even if something goes wrong. However, if someone out there is not willing to consider and accept a change in their booking site as the result of a rare but possible booking issue, then they may need to look elsewhere to camp. Regarding Electric Vehicles: Please remember to pack your EV adapter power cord. The Fee for Charging an Electric Vehicle Overnight is a Flat Rate of $10.00. Please send us a message or call ahead if you are planning to bring one to our camp. The fee would be handled at our office. Here at Olympic Adventure Campground we work hard to ensure that our guests are content with their camp space and the surroundings. Most of our guests expect to have a quiet, peaceful stay. With this in mind, we have a strict rule in place: Our camp Speed Limit is 5 mph. No Excessively Loud & Fast Operation of Vehicles are allowed to cruise on our camp roads. Some examples are: ATV (Example: Polaris), Dirt Racing Motorcycles, Race Cars. We also kindly ask our guests to use the nearest large dumpster as needed for their trash. Please do not hang bags of food or trash up in the tree branches; do not leave them on the ground anywhere as it does attract the ravens and crows to make a big mess with it. RV Black Waste Water Holding Tanks: We Kindly Ask our Guests the Following: Please arrive at our camp with an empty black waste water holding tank. There are a few dumping options available in this area, just ask us more about it. There is another place called Bogachiel State Park that has a dump station available for RV's at the flat rate of $5.00. Their fee may be different depending on the season of your travels. It is located about 5 miles south of Forks, WA. There are also some rest areas along the I-5 freeway that have free dump stations. Please be mindful to not burden our septic system by arriving here with a full tank of waste water that was accumulated elsewhere. Among the amenities here at our camp, we have 3 restroom stand alone units with running water that remain open for our guests to use 24/7. For Hot Showers: We kindly ask guests to stop in at the camp office first. We charge $5.00 per person on a schedule between the hours of 7am-7pm Daily During Summer Season. Please call if needed when the office is closed, to arrange a time during the Off-Peak Season (After Labor Day through April). The reason we have it on a schedule and charge for it is the following: When we first started this business, the showers were free. However, people would line up behind all the restrooms waiting to take a free shower and others waited in line just to use the commode. Later we received negative feedback about all that. Also, there have been times that we had arrived at the campground in the morning to work and found the water from one of the showers was left running through the night. Our hot water system is powered by propane (hot water on demand). So we pay for both the propane and the city water. So we humbly ask our guests to be considerate for others and for us. With regard to that: Please coordinate and supervise children appropriately for using the facilities that are available here. We have some portable commode units set up at our tent camp section also to accommodate guests especially when the camp is fully booked. We recommend that our guests bring along a raincoat and a warm layer of clothing because rain showers and temperature changes are random and it can happen in any season. Some popular activities in this region include; hiking, fishing, kayaking, rafting trips. Lake Pleasant, as its name implies, located only 8 miles North of Forks is a lovely spot for swimming, boating. Micologists (mushroom hunters) are sure to find the treasure they seek growing fruitfully in these forests. Come forest bathe (literally) in our private charcoal fired soaking tubs. Self serve wooden tubs powered via flame come to temp in 2-3 hrs with proper tending. Camp 9Mile-Marrowstone is an off grid nature experience. Neighbors live symbiotically with the land, many are without electricity or city water as guests will experience as well. Stop by our seasonal farmstand located along driveway in the. Browse our collection of homegrown/sewn/collected and created inventory everything from seeds starts to home decor + fashion all on offer inside a '71 VW BUS, you'll get an idea of who we are pretty quick!. OR stop by the "town" of Nordland which proudly boasts the iconic Nordland General Store and Post Office (currently closed due to fire in 2020) a definite nostalgic fun stop. If you have time park and take a stroll down the dock. Shower a day person? Fort Flaggler is your place (5 min. drive up the island-North) has full service public restrooms, complete with showers (bring some quarters) and flushing toilets, a wonderful trail system worth exploring and not a bad view of the straits including Port Townsend. If Laundry is something you find yourself needing, Port Hadlock has a fine one, situated next door to the QFC market. Throw in a load and head across the street to the "Valley Tav" for the best veggie burgers around! no joke.

Camp next to Lake Crescent and the Sol Duc river/ hot springs, immersed in the Olympic rain forest, next to a bubbling creek. There is hiking , biking and boating in all directions. Each camp is semi secluded, surrounded in ferns and old growth trees. With many trails that loop around and covered outdoor kitchens, its a great spot to chill and cook or explore the forests thousands of ferns and bubbling brooks . Located a mile and a half from Lake Crescent, adjacent to the Olympic Discovery Trail and the Olympic National Park, our property is a perfect gathering point to explore the possibilities of the peninsula. You will think you're in the park.

In camp you will find: 40' round pen, 86' X 120' outdoor rough terrain arena, trails, a small obstacle course and a play area for the kido's. From camp you can ride or hike miles of trails and roads on Department of Natural Resources (DNR) land. We are only a few miles from the 7 Cedars Casino and 10 miles from beautiful Sequim. It's a striking landscape covered with lush rainforests and moss-covered boulders. Waves crash on sandy beaches and snow-capped mountains give way to sprawling meadows. Being an isolated peninsula, the forest has many plants and animals found nowhere else in the world.

There's so much to explore—Lake Quinault, the Marymere Falls, the Skokomish River, and the Ancient Grove. You're likely to feel like you're in Middle-Earth! Take a deep, deep breath as you wander through the forest to see how pure air can really be.

Hook up your RV at a dozen campsites interspersed throughout the forest. Pitch your tent at any of 17 campgrounds. You can also head into the forest to find a spot to camp away from everyone else, or if you feel like a little luxury, rent a cabin. All camping is first-come, first served.
