Set on glorious parkland in the middle of the South Downs National Park, Lordington Park really is a wonderful countryside escape. A 15 minutes’ drive from Chichester, our rustic camping field has views over rolling countryside. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises can be expected on cloudless days. Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life in our peaceful rural campsite, with spacious grass pitches big enough for you to have lots of private space. Each pitch has a firepit for barbecues, and there is access to composting toilets, a shower block with warm water, and fresh drinking water. Please note there is no electricity on this simple site. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the camping field, but parking is provided a stone’s throw away. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you get your kit from car to tent. Countryside walks and cycle paths lead directly from your pitch. There are several pubs in the local area – the nearest being 10 minutes’ stroll away. We have a tea room on site, open Thursday - Sunday 10am-3pm. Near by local attractions: Goodwood Weald and downland museum West wittering beach Hayling island Portsmouth historic dockyard Chichester festival theatre Arundel castle Cowdray park Various national trust property’s And many more…Lordington Park Camping is set in a spacious field with wonderful views overlooking the South Downs. There is access to a communal shower block with hot water and composting toilets. There is also a sink area with hot water for washing up and drinking water. Guests will be able to walk directly from the campsite to our tearoom which is a few minutes walk without having to walk on the road. We also sell logs, kindling and firelighters on site.

Lordington Park Camping

The most relaxing camp ever!

My partner and I visited this campsite for three nights to rest and recoup from busy London life. Josie and her partner have built the most perfect little campsite based in the setting of their family farm. There are 9 small circular plots spread across a wild grassland field which come with fire pits repurposed from old steel rims (recycling at its finest). We took a two person tent and tarp and still had plenty of room for chairs and picnic blanket. The location was quiet and idyllic and we weren't bothered by anyone during our entire trip. Josie visited us on our first night to see if we were settled and we bought some logs and kindling from her for £15 which lasted us with some left over. The site featured composting toilets which were clean and easy to use and the showers were really cleverly fitted in to an old farming trailer which gave you a great sense of being outdoors but still maintaining privacy. The location even had an amazing tea rooms which was open a few days a week which featured freshly made food and a great setting looking across the farm. We would without a doubt stay here again and believe us when we say, this was one of the most relaxing and soul recharging trips we have been on in a long time. Thank you guys for such a wonderful spot!!
