We are an Eight and a half acre small holding growing sustainable vegetables and wild flowers, hosting camping and events, nestled beneath Hambledon Hillfort on the bank of the Stour. We have access to the North Dorset trailway at our entrance, our neighbours are the North Dorset Railway, a museum, cafe and soon to be working line, all under preservation and within 50 yards walk, the mighty Hambledon hill is a great trek with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, for those looking to relax Bournemouth and Weymouth beaches are less than 30 miles, for shoppers Salisbury to the East or Bath just over an hour to the North, there really is something for everyone!Set on an expansive 8.5-acre rural farm beside the scenic River Stour, this spot offers stunning views of Hambledon Hill in the north and the quaint Shillingstone railway station (now home to a charming café) in the south. Easily accessible by road (via the A357) and foot (via the North Dorset Trailway), with a small supermarket nearby and a village pub and playground just a short walk away. Sustainability is a priority here, with wild camping being the norm. The pitches have riverside views, toilets and showers. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, and dogs are welcome on leads. With a multilingual staff fluent in Czech, English, Italian, and Polish, guests can expect a friendly welcome.

Quiet, back to basics rural camping
Tent · With pets
If quiet back to basics camping is your thing then this is for you. The site was very basic with just land and a toilet but for us that's exactly what we look for. The area was very rural, we "enjoyed" (kids would possibly debate the use of this word haha) walks at Hambledon Hill and Hod Hill. Both were very hilly but the views were awesome and the were both exceptionally quiet. At the same time, whilst very rural there was a Co-op with a good range about 2 mins away and a pub if that's your thing. For us, we just enjoyed some quiet time away. It was us, two children (9 & 14) and two Rough Collies who also had a great time.
