Fox Camping

The family-friendly, dog-friendly pitches at Fox Camping are well positioned for a holiday in North Cornwall. They offer green views across rolling fields and are just a few miles from both the beach and Bodmin Moor. In addition, the harbour village of Boscastle, the castle at Tintagel, and the surf and sand of Bude are all only 10 miles away. This is an off-grid site that’s a great base for those who like to keep things simple when they’re enjoying the great outdoors.

Fox Camping is a Greener Camping site—which means it’s small and environmentally sound. It’s all about enjoying fresh air, campfires, and starry night skies—but it’s not quite back to basics. A few thoughtful touches elevate it above that status. Flushing toilets and hot water showers are provided in an undercover barn—and there’s one that’s family-sized. Washing-up sinks are also sheltered and there’s Badger Barn as well. This is a shared undercover space with picnic benches, a few games, and other handy bits and bobs including a fridge and freezer.

The majority of pitches are split between a car-free lower field and a park-on-pitch upper field but there's a semi-secret Woodland Pitch too. This one (our favourite) gets booked up quick. It's surrounded by nature, tucked among the trees of a one-acre wood, and comes complete with fire pit and picnic bench. In fact, almost every pitch comes with a picnic bench provided (check on booking) and fire pits can be booked as an extra if you want one. Logs are for sale and the icing on the cake is that host Victoria can deliver homemade pizzas to your tent. It's a welcome bonus to have dinner taken care of after a long journey while you’re juggling tent poles and hungry kids. As is the fact that Victoria is a dog trainer who can provide doggy day care if you want it. All this points to the care that’s put into the site. Care that should help make your holiday in North Cornwall blissfully care-free.
