Woodsland Farm is a 70 acre organic farm with the Cockhaise Brook meandering through species-rich flood meadows alongside ancient woodland.
Guests should be aware of the rural nature of the site and the ecological and sustainable ethos of Woodsland Farm and The Force of Nature.
Please note there is solar powered energy, very little mobile phone service, no WIFI and few modern conveniences on the bell tent site. That is its beauty! However, there is, in abundance, the healing power of nature, and peace and quiet – apart from birdsong and the rustle of the leaves on the trees. Our aim is to provide a bespoke service and an unique experience. Similar to that of glamping but with no other tents or people as far as the eye can see with as many home comforts and luxury as possible to maximise your experience. This is a high standard outdoor living experience to provide a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of life and a much-needed break from the anxiety of social distancing and COVID19. A place to stop, rest and feel the physical and mental benefits of nature – and experience its positive force.
Your private bell tent is located next to a private large natural pond and woodland walk where you will meet no one – so you can retreat, switch off and recharge.
To make it as easy as possible for you we provide, or source and supply, everything you need for a relaxed stay (with the exception of clothes and food). A fully equipped outdoor kitchen including gas hob and fridge and bathroom including eco friendly toiletries. We want to make your escape bespoke to your needs – from pre ordering your requested food from the local farm shop or a take away from the local award winning Indian Cuisine to lighting your fire ready for your return from a long day on the beach complete with giant marshmallows. We like to discuss all your requirements at the time of booking on the telephone.
This site is off-grid and committed to being sustainable and ecological from our solar powered energy to our no WiFi provision, from our waterless eco toilets to our eco heated showers.
There is plenty to do near by with the bright lights of Brighton only 30 mins away. Beautiful walks on the South Downs, Ardingly Reservoir (paddle boarding and kayaking) and the historical Bluebell Steam Railway (a big hit with families) are all a short distance away.
