This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

South Town Camping opened for a month in 2018 to see how guests would take to its private 10-pitch site. Tucked away in North Devon's Arlington estate, amid twenty-plus miles of footpaths and bridleways, this is a campsite designed by committed campers and it shows.The grass pitches are spacious, with paths leading to them mown into the wildflower meadows, all set within six acres kept peaceful (and safe for the kids!) by the absence of cars — simply roll your belongings to your tent with the help of a super-sized wheelbarrow. At the centre of the camping fields hay meadows are left to grow throughout the summer, providing an almost-wild aesthetic befitting of the sprawling surrounding woodland of which you'll enjoy uninterrupted views. brilliant place to stay, very relaxed there but if you need anything they was there. me and my partner stayed here with our 2 daughters and our dog and it was 100% one of the best places we have been to, great veiws, great facilities. all in all will 100% be staying again and maybe try the other cabins.

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin, it's in a very private woodland with a fire pit and bbq. Cabin is very comfortable but you still get a camping like "back to nature" experience.

It was a beautiful stay in a beautiful place. Easy to find and very comfortable. The shared facilities were great! Everything you could possibly need. Shower was a good temperature and easy to adjust. Plenty of hot water.

We booked a weekend stay with our daughter and it was lovely, very peaceful and calm. She loved feeding the pigs! The hot tub stays hot for a long time once you’ve got it going so worth firing it up nice abs early. The site owners were always around and really helpful too.

Absolutely magical stay! From the moment we arrived at Steam and Stars, everything was perfect. The hot tub was preheated and ready for us, which was very much needed after the Friday traffic. Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful hosts, who truly went above and beyond. Our dogs were safe and free to roam, which made the stay even more relaxing. The property was spotless, with incredible attention to detail. We were delighted by the thoughtful extras, like cookies and cake on arrival. The facilities were easy to access and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The views were stunning — we were lucky enough to see a steam train pass by, adding to the charm! Amazing wildlife all around made it feel like a true retreat. We can’t thank the hosts enough for their hospitality. A fantastic experience that we’ll definitely be recommending! Communication was brilliant throughout!

This is a beautiful campsite, in a remote and peaceful location, with great amenities. We stayed in the shepherds' hut, which was extremely cosy. Ruth and Jono are friendly and welcoming, and we would both come back again and also recommend it to anyone looking for a serene campsite in a beautiful setting.

We had a lovely time at the farm, 2 adults and 2 kids staying at the Drover's hut. Nicky was super lovely and even showed our boys around the chicken coops. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was great too.

Weekend Trip to Coastal Glamping @Hillcroft Escapes
We love staying at this shepherds hut. Ian was on hand to help if needed. Perfect for a couple get away. We enjoyed ice cream at the beach and watching the sun go down. The hut has everything you need for a coastal escape!

Nicky and her son were very friendly and helpful.
Showed us around and left us to it but when I did need them they were a phone call away and very helpful.
Cabin was beautiful and so peaceful.
We stayed for two nights. Walked to the reservoir which was worth it.

At high tide, water ripples at the bottom of the village, which stacks into the side of the bay and makes for a great place to launch boats (or watch others launch boats from outside the local pub). When the tide recedes, however, a charming, narrow beach appears, with rockpools to explore and starfish scattered about. At low tide it’s possible to walk round the headland into a wide sandy bay called The Settlands or all the way to neighbouring Broad Haven along the sand. There are plenty of campsites in the local area, both along the coast and extending inland. As always, we've picked out only the very best of them.
