Belan Bluebell Woods

4 units · Glamping, Motorhomes60 acres · Llanidloes, Wales
We are a small family farm site hidden in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales, near the lovely town of Llanidloes. Our easy to find, just off A470 location makes a stay with us convenient yet once you wind up to our drive you are on top of the world with spectacular views both day and night - we are a recognised Dark Skies Wales area for outstanding stargazing due to our lofty 1300ft height and un-light polluted sky. With over 60 acres to explore space and quite is guaranteed. Choose from secluded Idris the Shepherds hut with repurposed horsebox shower and woodfired outdoor bath, family glamping geo-domes Willow & Oak and Daisy bell tent each with covered camp kitchens or wild meadow camping plus a campervan spot. Our mission is to rewild the farm, manage the ancient woodland, support the abundant wildlife & finally protect its 5 acre peat-bog (peat bogs are as environmentally important as rain forests – peat holds more carbon than the combined forests of Britain, France and Germany!)

Glamping in Mid Wales guide

Overview

From the wooded slopes and lush riverbanks of the Wye Valley to the family-friendly beach resorts of Cardigan Bay, the rural landscapes of Mid Wales are the place to escape the crowds, get back to nature, and enjoy simple outdoor pleasures. All of which makes this the perfect destination for a glamping getaway. Glampsites come in all shapes and sizes, from cosy yurts to fully furnished glamping pods, but you can expect comfy beds, wifi, and heating to keep you warm whatever the Welsh weather throws at you. Some glamping sites even have en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, or a private deck with access to a hot tub or firepit. You could choose a spot close to Snowdonia National Park or Brecon Beacons National Park or, for a unique stay, opt to spend a night on a converted fishing boat, in a shepherd’s hut, or in a geodesic dome beneath the stars. Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat in Radnorshire, a luxury lodge near Llandysul, or a cabin on Cardigan Bay, we’re confident you’ll find some of the best glampsites in Mid Wales right here.
