Grindstone Creek Farm in Burlington

We are a small working farm on six acres with horses, goats, pigs, chickens and ducks. Guests will enjoy staying in our cosy barn loft and wake up to the sights and sounds of the farm animals all around. Our farm is located in the greenbelt with nature preserves, the Bruce Trail, and excellent hiking and biking trails within walking distance. The perfect place to stay for nature enthusiasts visiting Burlington, Hamilton, Waterdown or Dundas which are all just minutes away.

The Farm Shed @ Walnut Ridge Farm

Established in 1870 as a mixed farm for new immigrants to Canada to settle and begin their new life in Canada. In the early days the farm housed dairy cattle and pigs.  Had pastures for cattle to graze and grew corn and wheat for cattle feed.  In the 1980's the farm was rented by the University of Guelph to house their goat research livestock. 

Our family purchased the farm in 1998 to raise our daughters.  The farm is located beside Trish's home farm, where she was a dairy farmers daughter growing up.  Dean was raised on a beef farm.  Dean & Trish meet in University studying agriculture.

We began a beef business, and marketed our farm products through our website, www.whisperingmeadows.ca until we sold it to a young couple in 2016. 

Dean & I care about the land and the environment very much.  Over the years we have have worked with the local conservation organization to plant treed wind erosion areas, improve farm drainage and grow crops using no-till practices.

In 2010 we were awarded the Pasture Conservation Award by the Canadian Cattlemen Association.

We take great pride in our farm and ensure it is managed using the best farm practices available.  We grow a roation of corn, soybeans and winter wheat for food production.

Ideal for a quiet getaway or short-term stay. High-speed fiber wi-fi is included allowing you to work away from the office.

Follow the dancing squirrels and singing birds to find this Tiny House in the Big Woods... a land where crickets sing as the sun goes down and chipmunks dance in the light of the moon. Where the summer night wind whispers gently through the trees and the stars glisten in the scented night skies. Next to the Tiny house is a meadow brimming with life; sweet apple blossoms, wild flowers, and honey bees to delight the senses.

Quietly nestled  near a spring fed pond brimming with fish, turtles, and frogs; this Tiny House is a welcome  retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. With close proximity to Toronto, this is off-grid unplugged-relaxation at it's finest. The space is functional, very rustic, and a bit of a work in progress. There is a wood stove to keep the space somewhat warm in the cooler months, a 2 burner propane cook top stove and kitchen essentials.  There's a BBQ and grill over the Fire Pit for your cooking needs.  It is a 5-7 minute walk from the parking spot to get to the cabin.

Lovely walks and strolls at Scotsdale Farm.  Visit the quaint hamlet of Eden Mills. The possibilities are endless.

Leave your car on-site for the duration of your stay while you rent a bicycle to tour the area, sampling all that this rural small town has to offer.

The Tiny Cabin Retreat -has a Queen size bed, 2 chairs, fan, hydro, screen room and a fire pit

The Quaint Cabin -has 1 Queen bed, a kitchenette, bbq, TV with Dvds, a screen room and a fire pit.

The Gazebo- is on a tiny island with a Queen bed, seating inside, a fan,  a light and a fire pit.

The Little Blue Cabin- is a recent addition for 2024. This cabin features a queen size bed, kitchenette, with table, fridge, dishwashing station, firepit,  and is closer to the washrooms.

Hunter's Heavenly Haven camp - Nestled amongst the Pines is the Perfect spot for tent or car camping! 

The Town of Dunnville has great restaurants, shops, the Grand River and is a 15 min. drive to Lake Erie!

Inside our dreamy shelter for the night. Perfect calming colours, comfortable bedding and enough room to stand and move around at the end of the bed.

The view was exceptional, we slept with the curtains open and woke up to the sun crawling along the grass and pond. Couldn't be better.

Reading is one of our favourite ways to unwind, we took some time inside the cozy cabin to relax, with the gentle breeze from the window. Couldn't be lovelier. 

Cheers to a perfect evening! We had a really lovely time together exploring Gloria's beautifully crafted property and taking advantage of every different corner.

The paddle boat was our morning activity and it didn't disappoint to experience this stay from the focal point, the pond. Highly recommend hopping in for a spin and watching the frogs navigate around you as you cruise by.

Out for a gentle morning paddle, the boat is easy to navigate and a really fun way to experience the property in a different way from end to end! Bonus was seeing a turtle too!

Who doesn't love falling asleep to the sounds of running water? This waterfall provides the perfect mix of gentle background sounds and meditation for the eyes.

The property that keeps on giving! Exploring off the beaten path into the nature trails in Gail's space was a whole other opportunity to see and do more. It's amazing how much is packed into this location!

An evening fire was mandatory! It was lovely to sit in the quiet surroundings on the deck of the tiny cabin with no cares in the world apart from enjoying a perfect summer evening.

Fitz Farm Manor Camping



We built this home after Gerry and his dad sold their garden centre/nursery. Now Gerry is retired from running a lawn care service and Rosemary is recently retired from being the administrator of a seniors’ complex/nursing home. In our spare time, we like to garden, harvest veggies, and freeze and can produce. We enjoy entertaining friends and family- you may meet some during your stay here.

We raised a family of four boys here. (they say they were our first Airbnb guests- but they were the non-paying type.)

Our location is super quiet. In the mornings, you may hear the birds singing. At night, there may be a few crickets or a tree frog singing. 
You can walk down our quiet road past dairy farms and fields of corn, soybeans and hay. Often you will not meet a car or neighbor.

Our outdoors has been set up to accommodate 2 family reunions and 2 church picnics each summer. Sometimes that could be 40-75 people enjoying the pool, hammocks, patio and the grounds.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing vacation or whether you are here on a work assignment. We look forward to having you spend time at our home.

We’re situated on 25 acres of forested land with trails around the property. Our canvas bell tent is tucked away in the pine forest and has a double bed, pull out futon couch and lots of battery/solar powered lighting. Get back to nature and unwind in front of a fire, lounge in the hammock or watch an outdoor movie ✨ 🏕 🪺

Our tent features, a comfy, double bed with mattress cover and pillows. The kitchen is stocked with pots pans, dishes, cups, cutlery, and everything else you need might need to make a home-cooked meal.  Bring your stocked cooler, ice, linens and blankets, a flashlight and firewood, let us handle the rest!

We allow pets in our tent. Look under EXTRAS to add the the fee and let us know who's coming!
