We are a small family farm site hidden in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales, near the lovely town of Llanidloes. Our easy to find, just off A470 location makes a stay with us convenient yet once you wind up to our drive you are on top of the world with spectacular views both day and night - we are a recognised Dark Skies Wales area for outstanding stargazing due to our lofty 1300ft height and un-light polluted sky. With over 60 acres to explore space and quite is guaranteed. Choose from secluded Idris the Shepherds hut with repurposed horsebox shower and woodfired outdoor bath, family glamping geo-domes Willow & Oak and Daisy bell tent each with covered camp kitchens or wild meadow camping plus a campervan spot. Our mission is to rewild the farm, manage the ancient woodland, support the abundant wildlife & finally protect its 5 acre peat-bog (peat bogs are as environmentally important as rain forests – peat holds more carbon than the combined forests of Britain, France and Germany!)

Farm campsites near Broadway with hot tub guide

Overview

In the southeastern tip of Worcestershire, Broadway opens the door for campers to its rolling meadows and historic trails. This “Jewel of the Cotswolds” sits on hilly lands perfect for moderate hikes, from the 164-kilometre adventure of Cotswold Way to the dips and waterways of Wye Valley. Explore Hailes Abbey in Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or visit Tintern Abbey—Wales’ first Cistercian abbey—in Wye Valley AONB. Enjoy easy access to hiking trails with a tent pitch inside Malvern Hills AONB, or relax in the comfort of soft beds and hot showers with a glamping yurt near one of these natural attractions to discover more of the beauty around Broadway.

Where to go

Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Discover 164 kilometres of the Cotswold Escarpment with a walk along Cotswold Way. Hike past historic sites in Cotswolds AONB, including Hailes Abbey and the Roman Baths in Bath. Ramble through small villages and rolling countryside, then extend the visit with a stay in a grassy tent pitch or cosy glamping tent on private lands within the area.

Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Park the caravan in a private field site or pitch a tent on a family-run farm for an overnight retreat in nature at Malvern Hills AONB. History-lovers can visit one of England’s oldest water-bottling plants at Holy Well, while avid hikers can climb 425 metres to the summit of Worcestershire Beacon for sweeping hillside views.

Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Catch a glimpse of history at the ancient Tintern Abbey, or relax with a leisurely afternoon float along River Wye—all while visiting Wye Valley AONB. Wander along Wye Valley Walk or embark on the ambitious Wales Coast Path to see this AONB by foot. Then hop in a boat or canoe for a tour by water. Field camping is popular in Wye Valley, from rustic tent pitches to unique glamping sites with bell tent and tipi rentals.

When to go

Broadway is warmest from June to August with average temperatures around 21°C. It’s the most comfortable weather for hiking and boating opportunities. The shoulder seasons of spring and autumn see moderate temperatures and fewer crowds, along with lovely spring wildflowers and autumn leaves. Winters in the West Midlands are often chilly and may see rain or snow; however, the clear weather can offer lovely hiking views for those who don’t mind cooler weather.
