Bridport and Lyme Regis offer plenty of art and culture and are reknown for food, River Cottage and the Jurassic Coast. There is nothing better than being warm and cosy around the wood burner looking out at the great views. Our vineyard, hand planted in Spring 2024, has nearly 4,000 vines of four different varieties. We manage our vines in line with organic and biodynamic principles, working hand-in-hand with nature and avoiding the use of any herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilisers. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough it’s so gorgeous and secluded. The pitch areas are very well spaced out. Jay is also extremely lovely and helpful! The amenities are well maintained and easy to find all over the area. I will absolutely be returning again.

Site was great, bare minimum and eco-friendly which we loved. Unfortunately weather got the best of us and we left a day early since it was only our first time camping.
Saw lots of Pheasants and heard them running outside our tent in the morning which was wonderful, host was great and incredibly helpful too.

What an amazing spot in nature! This was an incredible getaway, such a quiet and natural space with birds, surrounded by trees and the very nearby woodlands which are covered in mushrooms, more than we could count! It was so peaceful, we loved the natural space and eco-friendly touches. We definitely want to return again! It was magical!

Really great site. Managed really well. Amazing spot in the woods and plenty of space between yourself and other campers.
Firepits are provided and you can buy wood for fires if you need.
There are some great walks nearby and plenty of stargazing!
Would really recommend this site. Had a really wonderful weekend here.
(There is a closing time of 7pm which is to be aware of and not being able to enter after that point so just something to be aware if traffic or travelling far after work.)
The toilets, eco and flushing, were really good. Didn't use the showers so cant say!

Quiet, sheltered and peaceful spot. Great location for using as a base to explore North Hampshire villages and walking trails. Was lovely in The Clearing - so much so we stayed on for an extra night! Facilities are rustic/simple (head torch needed to use the toilets day and night!) but they do the job as long as you’re prepared to get back to basics!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Woodland Escape
We recently stayed at Woodlands Campsite in Ropley, Hampshire, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. We camped in the woodland area and it was absolutely magical — quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It truly felt like stepping away from the world and into our own little sanctuary.
This was, without a doubt, the most peaceful holiday I’ve ever had in a tent. The site is beautifully maintained and so thoughtfully designed, with plenty of facilities to make camping not only comfortable but thoroughly enjoyable. Everything you might need is there — clean showers, well-kept toilets, washing-up areas, and plenty of little touches that make a big difference when you’re outdoors.
Jay was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he genuinely cares about keeping the site safe, clean, and relaxing for everyone. Whether you’re new to camping or a seasoned camper, this place ticks every box.
If you’re looking for a camping spot where you can truly unwind, listen to the birds, enjoy the fresh air, and still have the comfort of excellent facilities, Woodlands Campsite is the perfect choice. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next trip back.

A beautiful, peaceful place to camp for a few days. We loved the rope swings over the river and how the butterflies gorged on fallen apples in the orchard. Lots of space even over the bank holiday weekend.

We had a wonderful time here, we stayed in the clearing which was really chilled and idilic. Listening to the sounds of owls calling at night and watching the stars was magical. Jay was really friendly and helpful and the facilities were all we needed. Shower was hot, loos were always clean no matter what time of day or night, washing up areas and drinking water - perfect. More perfect still, no wifi! Great walks and areas to explore, such a relaxing weekend and already working out when we can go back.

Bij dit terrein past het woord camping niet zo goed. Het voelt meer als wild kamperen met iets meer mensen in de buurt. De eigenaar stelt een enorm terrein beschikbaar om je tent of camper neer te zetten. Veel velden zijn op een helling dus wat minder geschikt. De velden aan de beek zijn vlak en het meest gewild. Toch heb je ontzettend veel ruimte als kampeerder. Het pad is uitdagend en heeft wat kuilen en bulten. De hoger gelegen velden zijn denk ik alleen te bereiken met een 4 wiel aandrijving. Je staat daar dan ook ver weg bij de wc’s.
De eigenaar is een rommelaar, maar wij konden daar wel doorheen kijken. Het erf is nogal rommelig en onderweg naar de velden ligt links ook nog een bult afval. De eigenaar zorgt goed voor zijn dieren. Wij stonden op het veld waar ook een veldje afgezet was voor geitjes. Ze werden iedere ochtend goed verzorgd.
Bij de beek is het prachtig! Er staan hoogspanningsmasten door het terrein maar dat stoorde ons op dag 2 niet meer. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk. Wc en douche is basic zoals we gewend zijn in Engeland, maar prima. Al met al hebben wij 3 heerlijke dagen gehad op deze wildkampeer camping.

We had a lovely stay at The Cleaning at Woodlands camping. The site is very family friendly — our two young kids had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying the outdoors. The location is beautiful, with plenty of family activities not too far away to keep everyone entertained. While the facilities were fairly basic, they were clean and totally functional, which was all we needed. The pitches were a great size too, giving us plenty of space. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed, kid-friendly camping trip. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed over Sunday to Monday and we only saw one other van. The Clearing is a lovely area surrounded by trees with facilities a minute away. It’s all basic but clean and functional.
We will definitely go again.

Lovely spot (or spots) to pitch up and stay.
Easy to find. Signs make it easy to find where you need to be.
We arrived around 9pm and called to inform the owners we were here but didn’t receive a response. I messaged here too but didn’t receive a response. I noticed on the website it says check in until 8pm however not listed on this app, so appreciate this is why we may not have gotten a response.
Showers and toilets close by. Lots of space and different areas to choose from. Rivers with many tire swings close distance and even closer if you get there on time 😸
The only downside for us was the showers were freezing. They teased us with a tiny bit of heat only to turn cold. Grateful to be able to shower however so still solid 4/5 overall :)
