This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

South Town Camping opened for a month in 2018 to see how guests would take to its private 10-pitch site. Tucked away in North Devon's Arlington estate, amid twenty-plus miles of footpaths and bridleways, this is a campsite designed by committed campers and it shows.The grass pitches are spacious, with paths leading to them mown into the wildflower meadows, all set within six acres kept peaceful (and safe for the kids!) by the absence of cars — simply roll your belongings to your tent with the help of a super-sized wheelbarrow. At the centre of the camping fields hay meadows are left to grow throughout the summer, providing an almost-wild aesthetic befitting of the sprawling surrounding woodland of which you'll enjoy uninterrupted views. Watch the sunset to the west right from your tent and, on clear nights, you'll have an enviable spot to take in the starry skies. If you don't fancy pitching a tent a shepherd's hut is also available, a cosy option for couples with outdoor seating for those nights cooking by the fire.Given that this is a campsite belonging to the environmentally-conscious South Town Farm, your time staying at the site will be as eco-friendly as possible. Your hosts take care of 200 acres of this estate, having National Trust tenancy of South Town and managing its grasslands, which remain unimproved to maintain the unique biodiversity of the region. In keeping with this ethos, your available amenities also won't impact the land — there are composting loos, a gas-powered warm shower and cold drinking water pumped directly from the mains to the sheltered washing-up hut.Despite South Town Camping's position out in the sticks, it's within excellent reach of its neighbouring beaches, all a short drive away. The Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis is within 25 minutes’ drive, and if you feel a major shopping expedition coming on, the historic cathedral city of Exeter (35 minutes) will see you right. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks are less than an hour’s drive away, while the pretty neighbouring town of Honiton (10 minutes) offers pubs and tearooms as well as antique shops to browse.

Lavender Lodge was well equipped with some lovely touches for your stay and comfortable. The deck and firepit face great views and watching the sunset was pretty special. The shower/toilet facilities are located nearby and always clean and tidy. The farm is in a great location with Sidmouth and Lyme Regis within an easy 20 minute drive. Sam was lovely and made sure I had all I needed.

We booked a weekend stay with our daughter and it was lovely, very peaceful and calm. She loved feeding the pigs! The hot tub stays hot for a long time once you’ve got it going so worth firing it up nice abs early. The site owners were always around and really helpful too.

Absolutely magical stay! From the moment we arrived at Steam and Stars, everything was perfect. The hot tub was preheated and ready for us, which was very much needed after the Friday traffic. Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful hosts, who truly went above and beyond. Our dogs were safe and free to roam, which made the stay even more relaxing. The property was spotless, with incredible attention to detail. We were delighted by the thoughtful extras, like cookies and cake on arrival. The facilities were easy to access and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The views were stunning — we were lucky enough to see a steam train pass by, adding to the charm! Amazing wildlife all around made it feel like a true retreat. We can’t thank the hosts enough for their hospitality. A fantastic experience that we’ll definitely be recommending! Communication was brilliant throughout!

Beautiful setting, wonderfully equipped double hut. We had a wonderful weekend away celebrating our wedding anniversary and would highly recommend this accomodation. Loved the hot tub and the outdoor shower.

This is a really wonderful place to stay. We met Rich shortly after arrival who was so friendly and welcoming, gave us a few hints and tips on getting the hot tub going among other things.
The shepards huts are beautifully decorated with excellent facilities, all crockery is of premium quality and you can see the love and care that’s gone into creating them.
Highly recommended place, thank you so much for letting us experience the hut

We absolutely loved our stay at Livingstone! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel right at home. Rich and Em were available for anything we needed, but our whole stay felt very private which was lovely. They were the perfect hosts!
The estate is very easy to find and is conveniently located just off of the main road. The hut itself was really cosy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. We loved waking up to the gorgeous view of the estate and watching the birds in the morning from the bed. The hut had all the essentials, they even had some marshmallows for toasting on the fire, such a treat.
The hot tub was the perfect touch, especially for a chilly February night. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit, and making pizza too - definitely recommend brining a pizza dough!
We loved it so much that we are already planning our next trip back!

2 nights at Jordans Estate Glamping
Rich and Em’s Shepard’s hut was perfect! It was cosy and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The hot tub, pizza oven and wood burning stove made the stay so lovely .There are also some really nice country walks nearby. Thank you for having us stay, would definitely come again :)

Nicky and her son were very friendly and helpful.
Showed us around and left us to it but when I did need them they were a phone call away and very helpful.
Cabin was beautiful and so peaceful.
We stayed for two nights. Walked to the reservoir which was worth it.
