Weekend Trip to Half Moon Domes
We had the most amazing stay at Tara’s dome. A brilliant set up in a brilliant location with an ever better host!
Everything was seamless and the hosts have thought about everything that you could need whilst staying there. Amazing value for money in one of the most beautiful spots in the country!

Beautiful little spot a short drive from South Moulton. The Camping dome or bubble house as our 2 year old called it was, clean and spacious with a log burner for warmth and electric hob for that morning coffee. Only a few glamping spots so not overcrowded. Loved the ecleptic oldy worldy decor around the site. Plenty of character. Decent shower, toilet and communal kitchen facilities.
Our daughter loved the Alpacas. Thankyou Nick and Tracey for the stay.

We loved our stay here! Perfect combo of seclusion and creature comforts - loved the fact the kids (9 and 6) could ramble solo and safely through the woods, they loved the animals, the set up was perfect, everything we needed, would totally come again. Gets cold at night so would recommend lighting the wood burner in the dome at night, we came before Easter when the weather was lovely and it was still chilly overnight, bring cash for bits like wood!

Weekend Trip to Camp Couture
Firstly I would like to say thank you to Nick and Tracy for being so accommodating.
The place is wonderful and very well thought out. When we arrived Nick and Noodle were there to greet us. The toilet and shower room was spotless. We stayed in the Dome, it had everything we needed and more, waking up to the views of the Alpaca in the pen and the Dear in the woods was so great.
The site is very charming and relaxing, I don’t have a negative thing to say about it. It is in the top 3 places we have ever stayed. I would 100% recommend this place.

Where to go
Cornish Riviera
Golden beaches and picturesque Cornish towns hug the shores of the Cornish Riviera, which stretches west of Fowey. St Austell and Falmouth are the main towns, where you can visit the Eden Project, enjoy bird-watching around the Fal Estuary, then stop at a café for a traditional Cornish cream tea. When to go
Peak season in Fowey is June through September, when the waters are warm enough to swim, and the coastal breeze keeps it cool enough for hiking. This is peak season for campers, so book in advance to avoid disappointment. Winters in Cornwall can be wet and windy, so tent camping is off the menu, but off-season visitors can benefit from fewer crowds, dog-friendly beaches, and free parking at St. Catherine’s Castle.
Know before you go
- Fowey has a few camping and outdoors stores where you can pick up supplies for your camping trip.
- Fowey has public transport links to many of the surrounding towns, but it is handy to have your own transport, especially if staying at rural campsites.
- Most campsites require advance booking, and many ask for the full payment in advance. Be sure to check opening dates, as many campsites close in the winter months.
- Wild camping is illegal throughout Cornwall.
