The site was exactly as described! Really quiet and calming. Our only note would be to make sure if your van is bigger than a short wheel base is make sure you are a relatively confident driver as the roads to get to the site are narrow single track and quite tight. But overall we would be happy to stay again.

Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

Weekend Trip to Roehaven Yurt

It would be an understatement to say we absolutely loved this place. We were lucky to have sunny dry weather at the end of August, but even so, we could not have been more enchanted with the place. John and Francine are incredible hosts who have gone out of their way to make this a very special experience. We were cosy and warm from the fire, which we managed to keep going thanks to the helpful instructions book. Having the use of our own outdoor sink, flushing toilet and (excellent) shower felt very luxurious. I could go on and on about the location of the yurt, the peace, the starts, the clean and cosy decor, the kitchen shed, which has absolutely everything you could need, the ice box fridge, bbq, etc but I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Book it and see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed in the lower field, which I had all to myself. It was lovely and peaceful--not that that the other campers were at all noisy. You'll have to work a bit to find a flat spot, but they're there, and it's worth it once you do. Victoria was very responsive and helpful, supplying me with firewood on short notice. Highly recommended if your camping solo (like me) or with a whole group of friends.

We had a lovely stay in the school bus! It was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming on arrival and always about should we have needed help during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay at Coronary! It’s such a charming, cozy little campsite with just the right amount of space between tents to feel relaxed. The amenities - showers, washing-up area, and composting toilet - were simple but had everything we needed. The surrounding nature was outstanding and we got to know friendly local sheep and alpaca. We had so much fun enjoying a campfire at night with a fire bowl we borrowed and wood we picked up right on site. Can’t wait to come back again!

We loved this site. What a hidden gem! Beautiful views, grass was well kept and comfy, toilets and showers easily accessible as well as pot wash station and water if needed. Facilities extremely clean. Large fire pit close by as well as wood sold on site if needed. Gorgeous lake just a minute walk away and really loved being able to wake up next to the sheep! Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They supplied a map and were on site to help with anything we needed. I really like how the pitches are designed and they are very flat. Super peaceful and can only hear the sounds of the birds and the sheep, which was idyllic. Thanks again and sorry for overstaying! We misread the check out time :)

We had a great stay in the bluebird bus, our little boy especially loved it. Nice touches such as the welcome bag, biscuits, some tea and small squash. Logs and lighters for the chiminea and log burner all added to a fantastic stay. The campsite itself was really peaceful and relaxing. The toilets and showers seemed to be brand new and really clean. Great location for the beaches and walks. We will definitely be back.

Our stay in Bluebird exceeded our expectations! The bus is fantastic and an incredible first glamping experience for our 2year old & 6year old boys! The bus was clean, comfortable and unique and the outdoor space was lovely, the boys loved toasting marshmallows in the firepit. Becky and John were wonderful hosts, friendly and welcoming & it’s clear they have put a lot of love into the whole site. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quirky glamping experience with your family!

Becky was so welcoming and helpful -she understood that my dog can be reactive and made sure we were able to be at a distance from other campers (he liked Becky!) Stars and Moor in Bodmin Moor National Landscape certainly has views in spades – right to the distant south coast in fact – and what’s more, there are just a handful of off-grid camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pasture surrounded by Cornish walling. We are a Greener Camping Members Site. To Join is £12.00 for the remainder of the year if you are not already a member. You can join when you arrive. We accept credit cards on site. All the pitches are on grass and you can pick your preferred spot on arrival. Vehicles are parked in a designated area, from which your gear is transported to the pitches in a wheelbarrow. Facilities in the converted horse trailer include hot showers and fully plumbed loos, and there’s ample hot water to make your alfresco washing up less of a chore – but please do note there’s no electricity on site. On-site entertainment is all about the views, which you can appreciate while cooking on your firepit – hire one on site, complete with a supply of firewood. The skies on cloudless nights are a glittering marvel that you can share with family and friends while cosying up around the fire.
