Such a lovely spot. Very idyllic and private. Pitches were a decent distance from each other which was really nice - it was nice knowing other people were around but having your own private space. Dog friendly, which was brilliant - camped for the first time with our boy. He didn't like the owls! We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at Woodsworth Exploring - our kids loved camping in a woodland, and it is well-looked after and beautiful. You do have to walk in with your gear, but they provide wheelbarrows for you to use. Emma was very responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to come back sometime soon!

Beautiful woodland to camp in, the plots are well spaced and so really feels like you have the woodland to yourself. Would highly recommend and would go again!

Beautiful! What a lovely stay we had, from the peaceful pitch under the trees to the clean spacious toilet block, not to mention our little camping friend the robin that came within 2 feet of us begging for some crumbs. We saw alot of different birds, a squirrel, rabbit and didn't see but heard an owl. The pitch was secluded with not another camper in sight, the only time we ran into other lovely campers was on the way to and from the toilets. Cannot recommend this place more if you are looking for peaceful surroundings, a wild camping experience or just getting back to nature. Last but not least the hosts are knowledgeable, friendly and are doing a great job of keeping the wood as nature intended with minimal trace campers have ever been. I will look forward to my next visit!

Weekend Trip to Cross Farm Retreat
Perfect stay at the Cosy Cabin, Kirsty's really thought of everything!
Very private and peaceful, a proper retreat with all the home comforts.
Good recommendation for a walk up Stoodley Pike, well marked route which you can access straight from the site.

Had a perfect camp in the beautiful woods which are carefully tended and protected by Duncan and Emma. Pitches are well spaced out so you feel like you have your own little private spot of nature.

We had a wonderful stay in the bell tent. The bed was comfy and the tent is very warm and inviting. Kirsty is very kind and considerate and we had everything we needed to give my daughter her first introduction to camping.

Great patch of natural woodland and great welcome from the staff on arrival. The team have been looking after this patch of land a few years longer than Sandi Toksvig has hers and are full of knowledge which they are happy to share with visitors.
