Head For The Hills Glamping is the perfect base from which to explore South West Wales. Visit majestic castles, picturesque beaches, breathtaking mountains, and vast forests, then come home to a touch of luxury. Meet our alpacas, ponies, goats, and chickens who help us manage our smallholding in an ecologically beneficial way. Blaennantygroes Farm is fifteen acres of peaceful uplands which includes a four acres broadlleaf wood and a field which is part of a large Site of Special Scientific Interest. Our elevated position gives a spectacular view across the valley, and behind is forestry and open countryside leading to the top station of Bike Park Wales. We are 100 metres from the mouth of the closed Merthyr Tunnel, hence we are known locally as 'Tunnel Farm'. The line of the disused track now proves a level walk through woodland which starts at the bottom of our drive and continues past the Rhoswenallt Inn, 1 mile, and on to Llwydcoed, a further 2 miles.

If you belong in the second camp (and if you are after a holiday at the seaside), Glamping at Swanage Bijou by PitchingIt, in Dorset, might well be the answer to your prayers. You’ll have little need for your car at this family- and dog-friendly Swanage site, since it’s only a short stroll from the High Street (about 10 minutes) and an even shorter stroll from the beach (five minutes). Despite being so close to town, though, the site feels remarkably peaceful – likely thanks to the high hedges that surround it and make it feel more secluded than it is. Bell tents decorated with bunting and floral accents sit on a level grassy field that’s part of Kirkwood Park, an outdoor complex that includes an 18-hole golf course, plus foot and frisbee golf. There is also direct access to a well-equipped playground and to a skateboard park with multiple ramps where the kids can practise their kickturns and flips.
