Use of shared bathroom approx 300m away.BRING YOUR OWN TENT: and choose your own pitch from one of several peaceful and private spots on the land.BRING YOUR CAMPERVAN: parking in the main parking area, overlooking the horse paddocks and riding arena, near the house and bathroom. Other, more private, spots are available with access for smaller vans with reasonable ground clearance.Well-behaved dogs are welcome (please advise us in advance) and must be kept on leads whilst on the property. There are unlimited walks on the doorstep.

Welcome to Wild Woods Campground, where adventure awaits around every corner! Our campsite is located on 2.37 acres of pristine woodland in the heart of the Agua Peneira region of Santarém, Portugal. We pride ourselves on providing a unique camping experience that combines rugged outdoor living with modern amenities.
Our land is home to a variety of natural features that make it a special place to explore. The centerpiece of our campground is the crystal-clear river that winds its way through the woods. You can spend hours swimming, fishing, or just lounging on the riverbank. The woods themselves are full of trails to explore, with hidden waterfalls and breathtaking views around every corner.
For those looking for a bit of adventure, we offer a range of activities both on-site and nearby. You can go kayaking or canoeing on the river, or try your hand at rock climbing on the nearby cliffs. There are also plenty of hiking trails in the area, with breathtaking views of the Tagus River and the surrounding countryside.
One of our most popular activities is our guided night hikes through the woods. With nothing but the moonlight to guide you, you'll experience the magic of the forest in a whole new way. We'll teach you how to identify the local wildlife by their sounds and tracks, and you may even catch a glimpse of the elusive Iberian lynx!
But the adventure doesn't stop when you leave the woods. There are plenty of nearby attractions to explore, including the stunning Castelo de Santarém and the charming town of Agua Peneira itself. You can also take a boat tour of the Tagus River or visit one of the many local vineyards.
