Simpson Springs Campground

Simpson Springs Campground is so cool we can hardly wait to tell you about it! Why is it so neat, you ask? Well, it’s located at an important station on the Pony Express National Historic Trail that spans across the western Utah desert. If you aren’t familiar with the history, the Pony Express operated in 1860-1861, and riders risked their lives delivering mail along the route. You don’t have to face dehydration and other nasty factors to enjoy Simpson Springs, though! Come grab one of the 20 spots and bask in the beauty of the desert. We’re particularly certain you’ll enjoy stargazing once night falls—the stars are unreal here. While you’re searching for shooting stars, remember that Pony Express riders once set up camp at this very same spot.
