Welcome to Blue Hills Ranch, located in the heart of central Texas, just 15 minutes outside Waco. Blue Hills Ranch was named after the 150 acres of beautiful rolling hills covered in bluebonnets that bloom a beautiful blue each spring. We're also home to natural ponds, lakes, free-roaming wildlife, and the Blue Hills Giraffe & Animal Sanctuary. With amazing views as far as the eye can see, majestic hills, and sunsets that will leave you in awe, your guests will be talking about your special day for years to come. Blue Hills Giraffe & Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit 501c3 dedicated to giving animals a forever home.
Such a unique place to stay! We loved our stay at Blue Hills Ranch. Seeing all the animals was so much fun. Highly recommend!

Hookup issues
17 ft travel trailer ·
Overall, the experience was satisfactory.
The views of the property were lovely and waking each day to the sweetest camel was exceptionaly cool..BUT unfortunately after driving in 9 hours we had some issues upon arrival. first, we had to drive 30 min away to get a 50amp converter for our casita hook-up after realizing they dont use the normal 30 amp service. This would have been nice to text or call letting us know its not 30amp bc 50 amp is not the norm...but Im sure its states this somewheres on the site so I'm not really upset by that. After we returned from Wal-mart, I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why the 50 amp service would not charge the RV...it didnt work at all and we didnt get a message about it till 8pm at night saying that particular spot wasnt working! Un-jacking the RV and moving to a new spot in the middle of the night after driving all day was exhausting...never had any body reach out and apologize or even try and comp our first night that was charged even though we didnt show till the following day. The hosts seemed very "hands-off" but maybe Im the exception. Also for $50/night it would have been nice to have a sewage hook-up or a bathroom on site.

Once In a Lifetime
22 ft campervan ·
Once in a lifetime place to camp!! We will not soon forget parking our campervan next to kangaroos, giraffes, zebras, a camel and more! My kids (and wife) were overjoyed to spend quality time with these animals. The hosts are great as well!
Please note: The electrical hookups are 50amp. If your hookup is 30amp, make sure you bring a 50-30amp adapter.
