In Dartmoor National Park, wild camping is permitted in designated areas. The majority of the north west of Dartmoor has wild camping access, along with much of the very south of the moor, excluding Huntingdon Warren and the banks of Avon Dam Reservoir. The permitted area does change from time to time, with the most up-to-date information available on the Dartmoor Authority's Interactive Map as well as the Hipcamp Wild Camping in England information page.
When wild camping in Dartmoor, please follow the Dartmoor National Park Authority's guidelines to minimise your impact on the environment and respect the local wildlife.
