Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Rushing River Provincial Park adventure.
Discover the natural splendor of Rushing River Provincial Park.
Sunbathing on the rocks with the cool water rushing over your toes—the rapids are definitely the best part of Rushing River Provincial Park. Closer to Winnipeg (2.5 hours away) than Toronto, this far-north location is packed with swimming, hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and canoeing opportunities. But don’t worry about gear—rentals are available on-site at the Rushing River General Store. With only 302 campsites skirting around Dogtooth Lake, 75 are electrical. Bring your camera on area hikes for snaps of beaver ponds, water lilies, and the gushing rapids.
The best time to visit Rushing River Provincial Park is during the summer months, from May to October, when the park is fully operational and all facilities are available. Winter offers a tranquil escape with snow-draped landscapes, though services are limited.
