Short Mountain Cove is anything but shortcoming with amenities and activities. Offering both primitive and electrically fed campsites, Short Mountain Cove provides well-angled boating ramps, showers, and picnic tables; there’s also a group picnic area that’s found within the campground’s confines.

We really like to camp at short mountain. The only drawback is that the road leading in to the area is so covered in litter. It looks like it is never picked up. The Corps must not ever visit the campground and do not have rules for their volunteers regarding the condition of the campsite they occupy. It looks like a homeless camp, trash all around and under the trailer.. There is a hose on the ground that maybe gray water is run out of. Not something you want to camp close to.
