Description

Guadalupe Ranger District is teeming with recreational wonders. Dispersed/road-side camping is allowed throughout the Lincoln National Forest. Check in with the Forest Service office for a Motor Vehicle Use Map, but most roads, besides US and State Highways are available for use. Once you have your site settled, enjoy hiking, horse riding, and hunting. Caving permits are available at the Ranger District office in Carlsbad too. Enjoy all the forest fun!

We got here at 4:30 on a weekday and all the sites were full. They allowed us to sleep in the group site for a day but the campground fills up quick. Lots of beautiful hikes and the Carlsbad Caverns are not too far away.
