All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
All of the land on the gravel road in which we live was at one time a large operating farm. The original farmhouse is still present at the end of the gravel road. In recent years the farm land was sub divided. My husband Jacob and I purchased this piece of property 8 years ago. We absolutely love it here and this land is our own slice of paradise. We have 13 acres of private seclusion with a quiet and peaceful creek spot for camping on the back side of our property. We love having a place where we feel we can be away from it all! Also at the same time we are only a short drive away from downtown Lynchburg as well as quick access to route 460. We enjoy that we can get on the river quickly and we frequently take advantage of the beauty of kayaking the James River. Together Jacob and I find tranquility while camping and exploring new places. We are excited to share our slice of heaven with you and meet people who share our love for the great outdoors. :)This is a quiet, serene spot where you will not be disturbed. We have a fire pit and tent camping right beside the creek. There is plenty of room for two tents and some hammocks. Our property is 13 acres (which you are welcome to explore) and behind our property is a field with cattle. We are only a 5 minute drive from the James River and the 6 mile bridge put in for launching kayaks/canoes. It is very easy to do a day float on the James River from this camp spot.  Great hiking is nearby. Lynchburg and Liberty University are approximately 15 minutes away. For four wheel drive vehicles parking is approximately 50 yards from the camp site. For two wheel drive vehicles parking is approximately 75 yards from the camp site at the top of the hill in the field. Please do not drive down the hill if you do not have 4x4. Bathroom: We use a bucket with padded seat, trash bag with cat litter. We dispose of the materials once camping is over. Note: a tent is not provided for you. You must bring your own tent and camping gear. Also please ensure to follow all burn ban regulations.

Beautiful and private spot
Tent
Private little creekside clearing. Stone fire ring for your fire but not much else other than space to arrange your site and relax. I never encountered anybody during my stay, and felt very private. Just what I was looking for.

Great Secluded Spot
Tent · Group trip
Courtney was very responsive and helpful; the spot is a great secluded place perfect for a small group, but it was also near enough to civilization to grab anything you need.

Just lovely
Tent · Group trip
Just a wonderful spot… me and my friends really enjoy the isolation, nature sounds and the running creek right beside us. Just a little walk up the hill, you can see the night sky with a clear view without the light pollution.

the campsite was super easy to get to and absolutely gorgeous. It's perfect if you're looking to go camping without having to haul all of your stuff miles into the woods. I will definitely be back
