Lone Oak Farm is on the edge of Texas Hill Country along the Colorado River. Over 80 acres of prairie, forest and farmland, it boasts beautiful sunsets, wildlife viewing and quiet. Access to electricity, water and septic if requested or can be completely off grid and nestled in the trees. Walk along the river and watch the water fowl or sit under our oak tree and catch the rancher at work.Park your car in our main living area explore the rest of Lone Oak on foot to take in the fresh air and open spaces. You can dump your grey and blackwater at our dump site (please replace our hose when done). You can park your vehicles in the barnyard near the owners RV and canopy. Animals rarely come in this section of the property but you may have some visitors! Let us know if you want access to the composting toilet for your visit otherwise it's au naturel.

A New Favorite Hipcamp Discovery

I debated leaving a review because this place was incredible, and I wanted to keep it a secret. Of course, doing the right thing trumped my selfishness and here I am to let you know that you should go ahead and book a stay at AJ's property. My son and I stayed at site 1. My 9-year-old boy wanted to have his own tent during this adventure and there was plenty of space to accommodate our setup. The river was down a steep, but manageable decline. We easily carried our inflatable kayak and paddled around the river until the sun forced us to come ashore and eat lunch under the large oak(?) tree that provided necessary shade from the heat. A couple was staying at site 2 and we only saw them two times while walking the expansive property. The property is beautiful and we watched the sunrise over the field while cows mooed in the distance. Driving to the campsite is manageable if you take it slow. There are a few bumps once you get off the gravel road and onto the grass path to the camp location. If you go slow, I believe any car can navigate the path with ease. Aj was an excellent host. He provided a comprehensive "Welcome Packet" that helped us navigate to our spot. He also responded quickly to a handful of questions I asked the night before our arrival. Again, I highly recommend staying at AJs. I look forward to returning for a future visit.

Very private site. Great access to the river. Not a car camping spot as you have to hike your stuff in. Beautiful location though well worth it.

Lone Oak Farm Camping Site provided our family with an ideal introduction to camping! This gen is ideally in the countryside, the location strikes a perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility, offering a serene escape from urban life. Very lush greenery surrounding and the river was tranquil and amazing and ournkids did some catch and release fishing. the most beautiful veiw (IMO) was big oak tree! I even think i saw an eagle nest! For folks looking for a laid-back escape, Lone Oak Farm is where it's at! We will be back!
