Backyard Hideaway
Mixed Review
We stayed here for one night of a 7-night road trip to move a vehicle packed to the gills with belongings from Seattle, WA to Space Coast, FL. We wanted to be able to park close to where we were sleeping, and hopefully have more peace and comfort than a typical hotel.
This place felt safe. You are tucked into the backyard below street level, parking behind the house. The hideaway is tucked into the back corner with the front door/porch facing a wooded area. In the shed, it was very private feeling.
We arrived after dark. The contactless check in was nice, as we were tired and not feeling very social. We never met Paige, but she was easy to communicate with and responsive by text.
The cabin didn't have the air conditioning turned on prior to our arrival, but fortunately the window unit is very effective, and the shed cooled quickly. The bed is a king size and extremely comfortable. We appreciated the provided bottled water. The chandelier in the photos isn't a working chandelier. The light source is a single bright floor lamp next to the chair, not the bed.
The toilet is a portable toilet, not a diverting composting toilet. You must have the strength to pull a lever to open the flap at the bottom of the bowl so liquids and solids fall into the bottom holding tank. I had a hard time with the lever. The smell was rough. The shower area had organ pipe mud dauber nests in two areas around the faucet head. We did not use it.

Tiny Home
This is the perfect place if you are looking for something cozy on the outskirts of the city. She was very accommodating for my whole stay. Would stay again.

Backyard Hideaway
Loved the comfortable bed and was very cute! If I had any suggestions I would say a little more of a real toilet and shower situation! Otherwise it was great!

Backyard Hideaway
First trip to the south!
My friend and I stayed here for our trip to Bonaroo. It’s located in a small quaint little neighborhood, we definitely felt safe. The bed was clean and extremely comfortable, at times I didn’t want to get out of bed. It’s very easy to get there. The only thing we were a little nervous about was showering. We knew it was outside but didn’t know there was some woods near the location so we didn’t want to risk any bugs on us during showering. we ended up going to a TA truck stop to use their indoor showers and worked out just fine. i would definitely use this spot again for future trips to Nashville, we had a great time visiting here for the first time :). I can’t wait to come back!!

Backyard Hideaway
Emphasis on the backyard. 5/10
I was really excited about this place so I feel bad leaving an iffy review. It was okay honestly. I had high hopes but it wasn't cracked up to be what I thought it would. We arrived and met the people in the RV that also live in the backyard. They were nice and had a cute puppy. The shed on the property is about 15-20 feet from the house. I know it's listed as a "backyard hideaway" but I wasn't expecting it to be so close to the house. There was a long list of rules in a binder when we arrived. I'm not apposed to rules but there were a lot. It didn't feel very private after reading they had kids that play outside and I was worried we might have little visitors 😅 the inside was quaint. Nothing too crazy but nicer than some. It was really buggy. It's a shed so I expected that in June but I thought it would be cozier. The bed was fine. The AC was much appreciated as it gets hot fast in there. I suggest getting some softer lights or fairy lights as the bright white light was not fun for the headache I was rocking. Overall I've stayed at worse but I wouldn't recommend. I mainly picked this place for the privacy, the location, and the fact it had a shower. The shower was my main issue. There are a million confusing steps to use it in the binder and I didnt want to deal with that. It was next to the shed but there were a BUNCH of spiders all over the place. I was uncomfortable with it. And the compost toilet. I wasn't going to touch either. Host was very nice and responsive.
Backyard Hideaway
We were happy to book this affordable Hipcamp which was 25 minutes outside of Nashville, so very conveniently located for our Memorial Day weekend trip. The tiny house was cute, the bed was cozy, and there were waters thoughtfully left for us and our dog. However, it didn’t seem to have been thoroughly cleaned in a while, as there were several dead bugs inside and even spider webs on the coffee maker. The composting toilet was not the most comfortable to use, and it was a hassle trying to remember to turn the water spigot on and off by the main house to use the outdoor shower. There is also a full time RV renter on the property, which wasn’t a bother, except for all the trash lying around in the driveway that created not the most inviting environment. This tiny house could definitely benefit from extra care and love.
