THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH MANY FREE ROAMING ANIMALS! Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. (there is a landline telephone in the big house so you can make a call if you need to, it is a private number)Pick whatever spot you like to camp, by the river, in the bush, just on the grass. Great fishing and swimming holes along the river. The main house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen, bath and shower (hot water via woodfire stove/oven $50 for fire wood) You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help with feeding the animals, collect eggs have a go at milking by hand goats and a cow. We are happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. Yes we have produce for sale too. We are at the very end of the road with miles of 4WD and walking tracks going beyond the farm up into the wilderness. There is NO wifi or mobile reception, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. We enjoyed our stay relaxing and tranquil stay at the farm. We found the open field very peaceful and spacious. Interacting with the free roaming cows was fun. The river flowing next to the site would be wonderful to see in a time of year with more rain fall.

We loved staying at happy healthy valleys. The directions and instructions were clear, we found the place easily, and were welcomed by dogs, goats and cows as expected! Our camp by the river was quiet and we loved exploring the land and playing in the water. Plenty of firewood lying around too. We even enjoyed having some cows huddle around the fire with us. We will be definitely be making another trip to happy healthy valleys, what an awesome little spot!

Had a great time!

I had an amazing time at this beautiful, private, and serene campsite. The setting was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by nature. Directions were clear, easy to find. We especially enjoyed the firepit and the nearby river, which made our stay even more memorable. Ben Lomond is close by and absolutely worth a visit for its stunning views and trails. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful space with us. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely quiet camp, Charlie was friendly and helpful. You can check out the camp on YouTube if you like https://youtu.be/N8C4fYFcj8w?si=LN7rd7AWhkzWSiuf and https://youtu.be/_Q_GSNgNjGQ?si=_e6iuN8h5m6TeLYi the second video has drone footage of the paddock, I would suggest if you are coming from the Northwest it might be an idea to take the long way through Fingal and Mathina. The directions on the site take you on a lovely scenic drive but once you pass Ben lomand turn off, its gravel road and a very long steep hill, corrugated in places. We enjoyed the drive but decided to take the long way back on sealed roads. The short walks to the river were very pretty and the river was peaceful, we had a campfire on the shingle beside the river both nights, it was perefect.
