Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. Beautiful grassy flat ground to camp on. Nice Creek to sit in on a hot day and pan for some shiny stuff.

Great peaceful camping spot beside the creek with a few roaming cows and roo's. There's a long drop as far facilities go which is more than some places have. The host is great and will catch up with you when you get there. Highly recommended for a nice quiet stay.

Third time camping here and still love it. Good back to basics bush camping. Had a huge private spot to ourselves by the creek. Didn't want to leave. Nev is a top bloke and great to have a chat with. Enjoyed the panning and found some gold. Will definitely keep returning!

Great weekend stay at Neville's friendly guy who delivered firewood.Plenty of places to camp, you can spread out. Also close to a few small towns for pub meals and bakeries.
