Follow the longitude/latitude directions that Hipcamp transfers to Google Maps! Other than some minor difficulties finding the location we had an amazing fall weekend and the scenery was gorgeous! The trail roads made for some great walking and exploring with our curious pooch.

Great option close to the city

A short weekend stay, but this site was fantastic! Well established site, that still has a very rustic and wild feel to it. Short walk to the river where the water is clean with sandy shores. Cash is super pleasant and easy to deal with, even gave us an extra late check out, which was very much appreciated. No issues getting to site with our SUV, and plenty of space for our large tent. We will certainly be returning!

Cozy and wild!

Great site with firewood included! Even though we camped through a storm it was still enjoyable. The sites are well kept but don’t expect super cleared out areas, this is definitely a natural environment. We were okay getting in and out with 4 wheel drive but our friends got stuck going up on the hills (post storm) to leave the site after our trip and it required some elbow grease. We saw a beaver damn! And lots of birds and little cute frogs! Site 2 is a good distance from the other sites and felt very private, you definitely couldn’t see the neighbouring sites. Nice cleared trails along the sites to explore, saw lots of different mushrooms.

We canoed to the site. There was a public boat launch nearby where we could leave our car. The site was a nice little beach. Good fishing and swimming. The one thing I didn’t love was the amount of motor boats.

This was only our 4th Hipcamp, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. It was more ’rough’ than the others (roads, sites) but really private and secluded. We liked it but maybe we were pushing it taking our 2 wheel drive camper van down there. The host, Cash, is a delightful young man.

Beautiful peaceful place
Although we did not get to stay the entire time due to unforeseen circumstances, the site was beautiful. The area was beautiful. Lots of bugs but that is expected… however if you are looking for peace and serenity with campsites that are fairly well distanced apart for privacy, this is the place.
