Our McLucas family has been operating The Oasis, which has consisted of, at various times, a cafe, historic cabins, a campground, a fishing guide service, a shuttle business and t-shirt shop over the past 65 years. In 2019 we sold the cafe and cabins to a new family to carry on, but we kept the parcel of land overlooking the Deschutes River where we have operated a campground for many years.
Oasis Riverview Campground has operated during the months of July and August, primarily, giving RV's and tent campers a place to land during the busy months here in Maupin when the fishing and whitewater rafting are at their peak and the campsites along the river (managed by the BLM) were not adequate to host all visitors to the area.
We are transitioning from a tent camping site to a site only for self-contained RV's or groups willing to have their own toilets brought in. In the beautiful Deschutes River Canyon in Maupin, Oregon, our meadow overlooks the river and puts you in the perfect spot to enjoy miles of accessible whitewater rafting and world class fly fishing for trout and steelhead. Our sites are numbered and defined by lines on the grass. Find your numbered site and check in following the campground rules on the camp host trailer.

We loved camping on Marni's property, just so happens that we have tent camped on this property years ago with our friends and children on many rafting trips. This brought back many wonderful memories! What a surprise this was for us. Marni graciously let us arrive a drop off our trailer early, so off we went to spend the day rockhounding and fishing. It was so peaceful; the trains no longer seem to run all night. I only heard one train then next day while packing up. We want to come again, next time for several days! Thank you for sharing your property with us. Actually, thinking of buying in the area after this great trip. I have never seen my husband so happy as he was on this trip.

Basic camping in Maupin
23 ft travel trailer
Nice park in a great location. There's a water spigot for drinking water. We didn't have WiFi but I think in the "normal" season, it probably works. Overall, a good spot for basic camping.
