Waking up to birds chirping!
It’s a great bunkie, love the setup with bonfire and all the sitting space to hangout while you watch the sun go down
The host were friendly and communicative and had great selection of books to read
Especially loved the sunrise!

Lakeside Log Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little cabin! Marc and Stella were wonderful we really enjoyed chatting with them. The cabin itself was cool despite the hot August weather. The bed and pillows were very comfy and we slept amazingly. We didn't swim but we sat on the dock with our feet in the water for a bit. I recommend bringing water shoes if you'd like to swim as the lakebed is a bit mushy, but the water temperature is perfect. The composting toilet is in a private area which was very clean. There are some very basic cooking tools for an easy meal in the cabin, or Markdale is very close by to grab a bite to eat. We especially loved that you can see the sunset AND the sunrise over the lake from the dock. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Lakeside Log Cabin
Excellent lake getaway!
We rented the Damascus Cabin for a weekend, and it was a beautiful retreat, right on the water of a beautiful small lake. The fire pit is right by the cabin and the water, making for a perfect spot to admire the view and the nature. They provided lots of firewood, and the composting toilet right off the cabin was great, a small fraction of the smell of an outhouse. The cabin was equipped with essentials, and exceptionally, as well as having a surprisingly low amount of bugs! The cabin wasn’t heated or cooled, but is still very comfortable with a couple blankets, (some are provided) and there is a boat launch and dock if you have your own water craft! If you are looking for a relaxing get away on the water, a reasonable scenic drive from the city, I highly recommend!

Idyllic, quiet slice of heaven!
Idyllic, quiet, slice of heaven. Real, diamond in the ruff. Went swimming each day. The lake is very refreshing, not too cold, and lots of little fish, and minnows. Very friendly hosts. Made us feel at home and at ease! Very accommodating, as my girlfriend had nowhere to go while I was working, and the hosts allowed here to come and check in early. Comfy bed, with electricity in the bunkie. Lots of amenities to make life easy, like toilet paper, drinking water, instant coffee, tea, and disposable cutlery. Loved falling asleep to the sounds of bullfrogs croaking, and silence. Can't here any cars, or human noise. Price is right too! Would live to stay ttere again!
