This truly unique treehouse is the perfect place to fulfill your childhood dreams, relax, unwind, and spend time with nature. An amazing structure supported by rustic logs from the surrounding forest and handcrafted by a father who wanted to create a magical space for his family to enjoy. Experience the magic and wonder of treehouse living for yourself; a glamping experience you will never forget. The space: Inside, you'll find a cozy open concept 110 square foot space, equipped with a main living/sleeping room, small kitchen area, and two small loft spaces for sleeping. The treehouse sleeps four people, including 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably. The sleeping quarters consist of two single sized beds in the loft spaces and a futon that folds out easily into a cozy double bed. An electric panel heater is the main source of heat, which keeps the small space nice and toasty. There is also a wood stove under the treehouse that can also be used for some additional heat if needed. Firewood is available upon request. The small kitchen area is equipped with a kettle, toaster, coffee press, and electric hot plate. Unfortunately, there is no refrigerator due to limited electricity, so we encourage you to bring a cooler to store your food, or one can be provided upon request There is also a small barbecue located on the lower treehouse deck for your cooking needs. There is no running water however, two large jugs of water will be provided for drinking and cooking. We provide cookware, plates, cups, bowls, and utensils. Linens will be provided for all the beds but feel free to bring an extra sleeping bag or two if you’re planning on staying on a very cold night. There is some electricity at the tree house however please try to limit use to one appliance at a time when possible (ie. turn off the heater if using the toaster or kettle). A brand-new detached outhouse just a few steps away from the treehouse will accommodate your toileting needs. The treehouse has multiple windows that provide beautiful views of the surrounding forest. For entertainment, a TV as well as a DVD player with a varied selection of DVDs is provided. Unfortunately, there is no WIFI at the treehouse however there is cell phone reception. Guest access: Guests will park in the designated guest parking space at the main house. A short 5 mins walk up a small hill will take you to the treehouse. We ensure that the trails are packed during the winter however if needed, arrangements can be made for your belongings to be transported to the treehouse with our snowmobile. Make sure to bring weather appropriate footwear. Other things to note: The treehouse is located on a private 13-acre property, sitting on top of a small hill, with no visible neighbors in sight. We have multiple trails that are great for snowshoeing and sliding (weather permitting). You will have full access to the surrounding property during your stay. Feel free to explore and familiarize yourself with nature. The hosts do live on site and are available to provide assistance promptly when needed. We are located approximately 15 mins from North Bay and 7 mins from Callander, where you can easily access Lake Nipissing and 7 mins from Lake Nosbonsing. Public snowmobile trails, a local convenience store, and LCBO are also located just a short 3-minute drive away. This truly unique treehouse is the perfect place to fulfill your childhood dreams, relax, unwind, and spend time with nature.
