What use to be a sheep farm over a century ago is now a great escape for those who love the great outdoors which includes Sandy Lake Creek, to having the option of exploring the private 32 acres which is behind the cottage.If you are looking for a true rustic cottage experience; this is it! What use to be a sheep farm over a century ago is now a great escape for those who love the great outdoors which includes Sandy Lake/Sandy Creek, to having the option of exploring the private 32acres which is behind the cottage. Great for families with it's partially fenced in backyard, kids play corner (toys and books provided) and playground. There is also a foosball table to enjoy in the wraparound porch. Enjoying Sandy Lake Creek with it's crystal clear water, have a drink by the fire pit, or lounge in the hammock in the wraparound porch. With a dock on Sandy Creek right next to the cottage, and a where you can enjoy a swim, use the kayaks, paddle board or row boat. The extensive grounds have a tent which can also be rented with the main cottage. In the winter months you may cross country skiing or snowshoe followed by the warmth of the indoor fire place. The cottage is right beside Sandy Creek which also has a dock where you can paddle into Buckhorn Lake. The extensive grounds behind the gated area by the cottage have plenty hiking trails. Famous Sandy Lake Beach is a 10 min walk away. Provided: Life jackets: adult and children Aluminum fishing boat with Oars 2 Kayaks Paddle board Inflatable water tubes For guests with infants, there is a playpen/folding crib/bassinet available -Guests must dispose of own garbage as there is no community garbage pick up. Serene house overlooking lake

Loved the location and very meticulously planned house. Also came with all kind of necessary household stuff and kitchen stocks to make your stay hassle free. Kayaks, row boat and paddle boats are superb add ons to make your stay active and close to nature.

Rustic Cottage on Sandy Lake Creek

We were looking for cottage that could accommodate 13 people. It was difficult to find a place where such a large group could stay together in one accomodation. Then we found this place on Hipcamp. Let me tell you, this place is perfect. There's a lake in front of the cabin where you can go boating or swimming. The BBQ facilities and tables are well-maintained, and most importantly, the interior is really clean. There are multiple beds, so everyone could sleep comfortably, and the bathroom and bedding were impressively clean. Thanks to this perfect accommodation, we had a wonderful night. If you're considering booking this place, don't hesitate!
