Escape to nature. Relax at this peaceful retreat on the beautiful Moira River. Spend the day in the river and the rapids; swimming, fishing, canoeing or read a book in the screened gazebo overlooking the water. The “things to do” list in the area is plentiful; trails, rivers, parks, and nature galore. Riverbend is surrounded by quaint towns offering; antiquing, cafes and festivals. Unwind at the end of the day with a bonfire under the stars surrounded by fireflies and then climb into your cozy bed in our off-grid cabin.Thank you to all our amazing guests for our first Summer season. Everyone was respectful to us and our property. Riverbend will be beautiful in the Fall and The Grayotter is ready. The Grayotter is a cozy off-grid cabin. Our solar panels allow you to run basic electrical needs. With a comfortable futon, you’ll sleep deeply listening to the rapids. The wood burning stove is there for when the nights get chilly. A bbq, propane stove with 3 burners and oven along with the necessary kitchen utensils will allow you to whip up yummy meals during your stay. If you’ve brought kids or guests our moonlight bunky offers 360 degree screens, comfortable camp cots and access to everything. The outhouse is worth the visit all on its own. The water is at your doorstep. Walk through the screened gazebo, down the steps to the floating dock and enjoy the beauty of the river and the rapids. Riverbend is perfect for swimming, fishing and canoeing. When the sun goes down, enjoy the fire pit under the stars.

Grayotter Cabin
The perfect off the grid getaway
This hidden gem is the perfect getaway to relax, unplug and unwind. The cabin itself is equipped with the cutest little wood burning stove and there are numerous fire places around the property for you to use at any time (given there's no fire ban in effect)! The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a outside BBQ and inside propane stove to use as well. My partner and I booked the place to see the fall leaves and to explore the surrounding towns and we were not disappointed. The cabin is 15-20 mins from 2 different grocery stores and even some local farms for you to restock on fresh local goods. We greatly enjoyed the water buffalo farm where we were able to get a variety of local meats and cheeses to enjoy during our stay! The river is so calming and relaxing, and the nighttime stars are out for this world (literally, lol). The walk up the river path is absolutely beautiful as well!! I would definitely recommend this to any couple or moderate size family (3-4 people) to come stay for a fun fall getaway. I can't wait to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy swimming in the river!

Little slice of heaven in the middl
My second visit to River Bend and it did not disappoint. From the peace and quiet, and the beginning of fall sounds and smells to the cozy cabin with its great woodstove keeping one snug and warm during the chilly nights. Definitely , highlyrecommend River Bend .

Camping with our dogs
What a magical place! It was the perfect getaway location for our anniversary. Everything we needed was available for use. The cabin was clean and quaint. With in the first few hours we were discussing when we could come back to visit. Sitting down at the dock, listening to the river with a cup of coffee was the best way to spend the morning. Our dog loved swimming in the river and exploring. Couldn't have asked for a better spot.

Slice of paradise
We had a fabulous stay at the cabin. The dogs enjoyed being dogs, trying to catch frogs, chewing on sticks and playing in the water. Everything is provided for a relaxing weekend away!

Grayotter Cabin
Jason and I had a much-needed time-out-of-time at Katrina and Graham's magical place. The riverbend is just drop-dead gorgeous, and the cabin and outbuildings were created with incredible thoughtfulness and care. The place had everything we needed--but most of all it provided a chance to retreat from everything and reconnect surrounded by trees and birds and frogs. We cooked over the fire and swam in the rain and slept soothed by the sound of the river.

Riverbend - absolute heaven.
Riverbend is amazing. It is the perfect combination of cozy comfort and the great outdoors. The little cabin appears relatively new and secure. It is dry, warm (especially with a little help from the woodstove) and very comfortable. It is absolutely perfect for a solo "refresh" trip or for a small family. There are 2 gazebos, one in the main yard which is quiet large and offers a great place for family game night or just enjoying the night air, secure from the mosquitoes or rain. The 2nd overlooks the lake and provides a great space to sit, with ones beverage of choice, and enjoy the peace of the lake and the sound of the rapids. Personally, as someone who is older and whose joint don't handle sleeping in a tent anymore, Riverbend provides the absolute perfect alternative of comfort, convenience, absolute privacy without isolation, and, what we all come for, the great outdoors. PS- Riverbend git a huge thumbs up from Maggie, my Golden Retriever. Riverbend was like a vacation to her I'm sure. She clearly loved it as well! I highly recommend Riverbend and an in fact already planning my return trip in a couple of weeks for Maggie, myself and my camera for some fall pics.
