This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Welcoming to all!!!!! So much to see and do in the area!

Strawberry Fields Bunkie

The Bunkie is a delightful retreat that perfectly balances comfort and charm. Its cozy interior, and warm colors create a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The private outdoor space is ideal for relaxing, and the hosts are exceptionally attentive. Whether you’re after a romantic getaway or a peaceful solo retreat, The Bunkie is a fantastic choice. Rustic as promised

Joan was a generous host, and provided easy solutions for anything we needed. The cabin and property was rustic as promised. We cooked over fire and dined outside among the pine trees. The loft is a bit cramped for 2 people, but still fun. We were able to use the generator for power anytime, as needed. The outhouse and shower are less than a minute walk down a path towards the house. We managed to take a canoe ride on the river and saw some birds, frogs and fish! Watch out for beaver damns.

Pine the Sky bunkie in the forest!

Family trip

The 8x8 cabin was great for our trip. We planned on taking day trips and only using the cabin for sleeping. 1 adult and 2 kids fit perfectly. Bonus that the host allowed dogs as we have a 25lbs dog that fit with us perfectly. There was electricity to charge our devices. We loved that the cabin had plenty of windows, including a patio door complete with a screen. This allowed us to open the patio door & window for fresh air and keep mosquitoes out. Good quality BUG REPELLENT is required for mosquito season. We enjoyed walking the trail around the property. The host was pleasant and answered all enquires quickly. The host has 2 friendly dogs that got along well with our well socialized dog.

Strawberry Fields Bunkie

Was a good spot for a night or two. Near a not so busy road, but the odd time a car drives by. Not a sound at night though very quiet and peaceful. Loved the cozy cabin and my dog loved Joan’s very friendly dogs, always played so nice together. Shower looked great and washroom was very clean.

We had a great stay, Joan is super friendly and helpful! Our American Bulldog Rocco made a new friend and they played together super nicely. Nice little cabin with firepit just outside of it, super comfy!
