Learn more about this land: We welcome you to the Little Farm That Could! A mixed flower and vegetable organic market garden growing year-round on a small farm located in the Trent Hills. For five years now we have built gardens, cleaned out and repurposed the barn, set up a spa, and brought on animals to give them a peaceful home and close the nutrient cycle for our crops. The century old barn now acts as a common space for campers to relax and is a backdrop for our wood fired hot tub and spa. There’s a sports field to put in your activities and a washroom outfitted with running water, cold shower, and toilet. Be sure to ask about our spa package. Our wood fired hot tub is the perfect way to wind down and relax in the presence of nature and under a star lit sky! So come on by and get connected to a small farm! A mixed organic market garden growing seasonal vegetables year-round on a storybook farm located in the Trent Hills. Your campsite looks onto a meadow and is neighboured by a winding creek in a small forest. Located beside the campsite is a volleyball court and open paddock to play some ground sports. Adding some comforts from home, we have outfitted the campsite with an outhouse that has a running toilet, sink, and shower (cold water only at the moment.) Inside the century-old barn, you will meet our little friends. Two miniature ponies (Chudlowe & Arrow) Two sheep (Daisy & Annie) and our two Hens (disco & Lucy). Feel free to roam around the farm, take a look at small-scale organic market gardens, meet our crew, and most importantly, relax. Unplug and cleanse

Michael and Janessa were such charming and warm people! Their farm is beautiful and their pride in ownership is evident. It was an outstanding experience camping at their functional farm for my son and his friends. I was told it was a "cleansing" adventure unplugging from technology, appreciating living off the land and of course the solitude, scenery and stars! Cannot thank Michael and Janessa enough and we WILL be coming back now that we know where you are!

Magical Experience on a farm

This campsite is the perfect private little spot if you’re looking for something quiet and peaceful. Michael and Jenn are amazing and gave us a great tour of their farm, harvest garden, and even let us hangout in their barn when the weather wasn’t co-operating. Very close to both Hastings and Campbellford which are perfect little escapes with nothing but nice people throughout. Favourite part was hanging out with the horses and sheep, and getting fresh eggs for breakfast from the chicken coop. Will be going back again yearly as we grow our family

We loved our stay at Micheal’s farm. Our little girl was just taken by all the animals, barn, flowers and fresh eggs. It was amazing. We would definitely come back in the future!

Organic Farm Sanctuary

Truly memorable camping experience!

Micheal’s property where we camped was incredibly beautiful, pride of ownership can be seen at every corner. The space is very secluded, near a creek, lots of privacy and huge field for dogs or children to play and run around, it is even equipped to play volley ball, soccer and do some weights! Nighttime was breathtaking, slept in the midst of the stillness of nature with thousands of stars to gaze upon. Michael is an amazing host too, he welcomed us, gave us options to choose from the 2 sites that would be preferable and showed us around his farm and the animals, delicious organic vegetables are sold here as well. He even provided BBQ for us to use. Will not hesitate to recommend this place to other campers, it is a wonderful place to camp!

Organic Farm Sanctuary

Gorgeous farm and superior hosts!

My stay at the farm was incredible. Beautiful property and hosts were fantastic. I got a tour of the farm and spent time with the animals. My site was huge - great fire pit and picnic table. There is a creek on site which would be a great site for a tent. There was a wide space with a volleyball net and soccer equipment which was a nice touch. Cutest little outhouse close by the site and was given the green light to explore the farm and the animals at any time. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a huge bag of fresh veggies all from the farm of course. There are also tons of hiking trails near by and a boat launch about 5 mins away. No shortage of things to do here and I would highly recommend staying here. I can’t wait to bring my daughter with me next summer - she will fall in love with the miniature ponies.
