Captain TJ
I cannot express what a wonderful time we had with our 3 kids (6, 4 and 1.5). Kids are getting cranky? Visit the animals. Bored? Grab a boat. Hot? Play in the lake. Taught my kids "gotta pee, find a tree!" And also, "stop complaining, we're camping!". With the chaos of bringing kids on vacation it was so nice to explore the island and find so many peaceful places to basically check our and meditate. We had fresh eggs (one of which Dad sat on forgetting it was in his pocket) and got used to having resident goats at our site. The kids were VERY entertained by finding all the outhouses and reading their names. My 6 year old discovered a love of fishing and I even rowed a boat for the 1st time!
Captain TJ was phenomenal. Her vibe is so easy going and chill yet she means business. We had the pleasure of her as captain of our ferry there where she offered to let the kids drive the boat. We also saw her frequently around the island (the lack of island map made every day a quest to find new things and wandering animals made it fun for the kids to explore). From seeing Captain TJ kayaking to the Island in the morning to floating by on a quest to make it around the island on a tube she was a big part of our positive experience. Her crew is friendly and you can tell they want to be there, which says a lot.
The bonding was amazing, the island was magical and I can see ourselves coming year after year.
Thanks to the crew for all you do!
This place is phenomenal!!! Everyone on the crew is awesome, they help you the whole way, the location is stunning, and there is so much to do!! We will be back very very soon, such a beautiful place!!! Thank you Captain TJ and team!!
We had an amazing time on the island and really enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be back for more adventures. The crew members were great and the we just loved all the animals! Good vibes 😎
This was such a unique experience Captain TJ has put so much thought into ensuring a flawless trip. Will be back to try the wood burning pizza oven!
