Fall/Winter Camping in a Bunkie
Been here before but in the other cabin with a microwave and wood stove. This bunkie is closer to the firewood shed and private outdoors firepit. Bobcaygeon is where I would shop. I would still recommind the other cabin tent.

Fall/Winter Glamping with woodstove
Great time!
We had an amazing time! Cute, quiet spot with lots to do. We hiked on the property (absolutely beautiful), walked to the lake and drove to the town near by. No complaints. Definitely will return soon! Thank you!

Fall/Winter Glamping with woodstove
Just a few things: electricity, good cellphone reception indoors, short laneway from highway to destination, free firewoods from a shed behind a big storage building for the woodstove but newspapers are needed for starting a fire and free from out of town, no showers so drive half an hour to Bobcaygeon for a supermarket for jugs of spring water or a car wash for filling up a portable shower, available at Canadian Tire or Walmart.

Fall/Winter Camping in a Bunkie
We loved staying at Manuela's Bunkie. It is very new so the ground around the Bunkie isn't quite even yet, but as long as you're wearing sturdy shoes it's not really a problem. The area is quite beautiful and the property has trails to explore. There is a lot of wildlife around, many frogs, we saw a small snake and even a barred owl one morning all from the Bunkie area. The property is super close to a small beach, and about 10 mins from Buckhorn where you can access Buckhorn Lake like we did for an afternoon of kayaking. Would definitely recommend this Bunkie to a friend!

Chill place :)
There was no one around and we loved that. Maybe Manuela came home at some point but we didn’t run into each other. The pictures didn’t do it justice. We were very comfortable in the cabin with a fridge, microwave and kettle! We didn’t want to camp so close to others. My dog is lovely but very food obsessed and I would never be able to relax if there were campfires all around with him. We hiked a fair bit, ate good food and slept well. Thank you!

Fall/Winter Glamping with woodstove
Will likely visit again!
We’re more backcountry canoeing people, but with the birth of our first kid this year, still wanted to get away but take is easy especially when he’s too little to really put down yet. This was perfect! Sandy beach is lovely and a spot we already frequent, but a close jog down the road instead of a big drive from home. The canvas tent was more than adequate and definitely comfier than our usual set up. The grounds were lovely and it was surprisingly quiet and really felt far more removed than the site is. I really appreciated the luxury of a mini fridge and kettle! Really no complaints about the site outside of I wished the campfire area was a bit more level so that I could get a seat a bit farther from the fire (purely because I was trying to keep the baby out of the smoke). I would recommend packing some actual running shoes, just as their are a few prickly weeds around and my toes are a bit worse for the wear (most people would probably be fine if they aren’t carrying a baby). Overall we had a great time and have already discussed returning in the future.
