This 70 acre property backs onto the Tay River which is about 7 min walking distance from the campsite. The ecosystem of fields reverting to forest is home to diverse wildlife, especially birds. The big open sky is great for stargazing at night. Fall asleep with the stars and let the birds be your alarm clock...Lovely private spot to come, unplug, and connect with nature. Soak in the sun and listen to the birds during the day and stargaze at night. Large Bell tent is equipped with a queen-sized bed ( bedding included) and a futon couch which opens into a double bed. A portable Coleman stove is available for cooking and a fire pit for grilling. There is an outhouse with a compostable toilet. Put in a kayak or canoe in the Tay River, 800 ft from this site.  The property is located 15 min West of downtown Heritage Perth. Close to many lakes, quaint towns, and shops.    Campfires permitted, pets are welcome outside of the tent.

Beautiful rest stop!
We recently spent a night at the Field of Birds glamping spot. The site was well laid out and very private. We loved the large bell tent, the cozy bed, and all the amenities. The outdoor kitchen was simple and perfect. We had a quick dip in the river down the grassy path, and watched the moon traverse the sky while sitting in front of the fire. Everything was ready and set up for us to enjoy. It was a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful!!
Hosts were incredible. Campsite clean, great size and close to a beautiful river spot great for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Only an hour away from Ottawa but it felt like we were far away. The Yurt was wonderful; bed was very comfortable and the tent was massive. I would highly recommend for anyone!

Site is scenic and nicely laid out. Bed is comfy and kitchen area is well stocked. Tay River is great for kayaking and swimming.

Tranquil experience
Feild of birds is a relaxing, beautiful, and all around tranquil experience. Joanna was accommodating and extremely friendly, as were her pups who came to visit ! The river is crystal clear and really not deep at all. The fact that she has kayaks to use was an extra bonus. The bell tent was beautiful , bed and covers - omg I need those in my life. They kept you warm and cozy. We will be back with our family members who can also camp on the site!

Wildflower paradise!
What a pretty spot! A field of wildflowers, fabulous tent, well set up with everything you need, a sweet little river spot and close to Perth and other provincial parks. Joanna was lovely and helpful and has clearly put much love and care into the land and it really shows. A great stay! We will definitely return.
